CHAPTER FORTY

Nixie's POV
I had Italia at school, Octavia in her high chair eating and Denzil awake in his portable crib that can roll around, I haven't seen my kitten In a while, so I got the box of biscuits

"Gin," I said in a sing-song voice

"Gin," I said again then I heard a little bell go

"What are you doing" I turned to see Luke with Denzil

"Finding Gin," I said suddenly, I saw a little ginger kitten run towards me her bell was going, I picked her up

"I found you," I said in a baby voice, Luke looked at me with his eyebrows raised

"What it's just what happens it comes naturally I can't stop it," I said, he laughed as we walked inside.

Beau's POV
"Hurry up Beau we will be late" I heard Sky shout from downstairs, I put my shoes on and ran downstairs

"Ok let's go," I said

"Finally" Sky said, I kissed her cheek and we went to the car to go to the hospital, once we got there, she told them she was there, we were a couple minutes late, so we could go in straight away, we said hello to the doctor were using Nixies doctor, she said she's one of the best

"Ok Nixie told me that she suggested me to you," Dr.grey said, we nodded smiled

"Ok the gel will be cold," she said, Sky lifted her top to show her swollen baby bump

"Alright here's your little baby," she said, pointing at the screen I just sneered at the screen, I smiled at Sky and kissed her forehead

"And this is the heartbeat" she continued, it sounds so awesome hearing your baby's heartbeat

"That's beautiful," Sky said, I nodded in agreement

"Want to know the gender?" She asked us, Sky looked at me and nodded

"Yes," I said

"It's a," she said and pressed a few buttons

"Boy," she said, I smiled probably looked like an idiot, we finished up and got in the car home

"We have a boy," Sky said and looked down at her bump rubbing it, we got home and walked over to see Nixie and Luke first, we walked in and Luke was playing dolls with Octavia and Italia was on Nixies phone and Nixie had Denzil in her arms

"Hey guys," I said

"Hey," they said

"Oh Sky your ultrasound how did it go," Nixie asked Sky, they sat in the kitchen drinking tea

"We're having a boy," Sky said

"Oh my god yay," Nixie said and squelch

"I just squealed Ewww I'm getting too girly," Nixie said, she held Denzil In the air

"My little man is turning me girly," she said in a baby voice to him

"Shit" Nixie said

"Sky you're getting soft too," Nixie said

"Yeah and I'm not liking it," Sky said groaning and came and sat next to me

"Mum your phones ringing," Italia said to Nixie, she past Denzil to me

"Hello...ah yeah I'm Nixie Williams...yes my sister is Aspen...what?!" She said and dropped the phone and ran off, Luke picked up the phone and ended the call once he talked to them

"What was it?" I asked

"Apparently there are two people looking for her and Aspen and it's her parents," Luke said

"WHAT THOSE PRI-" Sky stopped mid-sentence

"They can't just do that" Sky whispered

"Let's go next door," I said, we took the kids and luckily everyone was there

"Hey Aspen Nixies left and the reason is that she got a call saying your parents are trying to find you," Luke said, Aspen stood up

"I'm not having them in my life I had to grow up with them for only a few years they were druggy alcoholics that beat us mostly Nixie because she protected me and it got me and Nixie separated and turned us into" she stopped and started to breathe funny and fast

"Aspen," Jai said standing

"Aspen having a panic attack she hasn't had those in years," Sky said

"Aspen you need to calm down," Jai said

"She won't your gonna have to call an ambulance because when she has them she can't stop when she gets them she gets them full on," Sky said going to get up but I stopped her, the ambulance came and she sat in there with Jai to get calmed down.

Luke's POV
After Aspen was fine, I went home with the kids and got them fed, bathed and in bed, I sat in the lounge and Nixie walked in a little while later, I stood up and she ran to me and just cried, It broke my heart she was all fine with her life till this, me and Nixie stayed up a little longer and we went to bed, I held Nixie as we fell asleep.

*A FEW HOUR'S LATER*

I woke up to Nixie sitting up in bed, I sat up and rubbed my eyes

"Nix," I said in a croaky voice, she looks at me

"I'm scared," she said, sounding like she was going to cry

"Hey I'm here I will be through the whole thing let's talk about something else ok," I said, stroking her cheek, she leant forward and kissed me

"Thank you," she said

"Now can the wedding be a theme," she said, I smiled

"Like what do you mean," I said

"Um I think white and another colour," she said

"Well blue but a darker blue since we both like it," I said

"Ok that's cool," she said

"Um where would you like," I said

"Um either Beach or in a garden type place filled with flowers and stuff," she said

"Yeah I actually agree with you there," I said

"We have never talked about the wedding or when we'll have it," she said looking down

"Well how's this year and we'll start planning," I said

"Really you want to," she said

"Of course I do," I said, she smiled and kissed me and we slowly laid down, I hovered over her and slowly pulled away

"God I love you," I said

"And I love you," she said, I held her waist and lay back with her laying on top of me, I held her waist

"your gonna keep me warm," I said

"How," she said

"Staying like this," I said, she entwined her fingers with mine and held my hand and lay on my chest

"Goodnight Luke," she said

"Goodnight nix," I said, I heard her breathing slow down, I knew she was asleep

"I'll always protect you" I whispered before going to sleep.

Nixie's POV
"I'll always protect you" Luke whispered, he must have thought I was asleep, but it was cute and I'm gonna tell him which is gonna be funny, I slowly fell asleep for real this time.
