I'm currently about ot enter Matt's office.
I took a deep breath and opened his door, I was more angry than surprised by what I saw.
Matt and Lynn were gropping each other like there was no tomorrow. I cleared my throat just then both our lawyers entered and saw what was happening between boss and p.a (did I forget to mention that I help get her this job when she was in desperate need cause her parents kicked her out) their faced showed nothing but pure hatred and disgust towards them .
"Well shall we commence" I said breaking the awkward tension in the room.
"It says that you cheated on her, is this true?" my lawyer asked Matt
"yes it is and she also cheated on me first".
" Do you have proof of this" my lawyer asked again
"no!" he said coldly "nothing I'm not used to".
"Since there's evidence of your cheating and none what so ever of her, this automatically means that half your fortune goes to her" his lawyer said.
" What!" he screamed
"why the fuck did I hire you if not to avoid this mess" Matt fumed
"Relax your good for nothing cheating self, I don't want a fucking dime from you, let's just sign this divorce paper and get this shits fuck of a relationship over with already"
"We'll do that soon but, there's one more issue needing to be addressed"
"oh! what's that?" I asked
"your pregnancy, before I could tell them he would never in his dreams be in their lives, Matt spoke up.
" I don't want to be in their lives.
" I second that motion" I state.
"We've finally finished,"
I was about to get up when my phone started to ring the caller ID said unknown so I answered
J=Joel E=Emma
E- Dr Banks speaking how may I help
J- Hi its Joel speaking
E- hey Joel how are you
J- keeping it fresh. And Dr?
E- yeah Joel, dr.
J- wanna meet up for lunch?
E-sure, are you free right now?
J- yeah? meet at cafe de cooper.
E-yeah, meet in 10 minutes
J- bye
E- bye
J- ok
E- no you hang up
J- 'chuckles'
E- k see you soon
After I finished the call I saw Matt's face red from anger wonder what he's angry about
"Good luck with the rest of your life Mr Powers". "But know this when you realize your mistakes, it'll be too late" I said as I slammed his door shut.
I looked at my hand to see it still had my engagement and wedding ring so I opened the door Matt was looking down so he didn't see me
"Lynn I don't wanna see you now go away" he said making me clear my throat.
"I just came to give you the last materials that bounded our relationship" I slipped the rings out of my fingers and kept it on his table.
I turned around and left but not before whispering "bye Matt .
Cafe de cooper here I come.
