After laying in my bed listening to the thundering silence for about 20 minutes, I finally decided to get up and wander downstairs to start my day. As I came downstairs I could see Kyle and my dad arguing over Kyle's pickyness. He literally wouldn't eat a yogurt because it was FRENCH vanilla not just normal vanilla.
"Seriously dude!!!! Just eat your food!", I said as I entered the kitchen, searching for my precious Nutella.
"Mind your own business!" He retorted angrily before stalking off to his room.
"Well he sure is a grumpy teenager isn't he, Lana?" My dad asked a little louder than necessary so Kyle could hear it.
" I heard that!"
"That was the point son!" My dad said chuckling.
After chatting a little more with dad and eating my wonderful Nutella toast I trudged back upstairs to get dressed.
After searching in my closet far a few minutes I deemed it hopeless to find an outfit that said " Hi I'm a normal person, please don't judge me" but still said "Wow the new girl has some style!"
After a few more minutes of intense contemplation I decided on a plain white tee, dark wash boyfriend jeans, white crochet TOMS, a mint scarf with little ice cream cones on it and my new backpack with was a cute leather baby pink backpack.
After putting on my chosen outfit I checked the time and realized that I was running out of time!I quickly ran into the bathroom to pull my long curls into a high ponytail adding a little spunk with a mint bow. Then as per usual I added some lip balm to my lips, grabbed my bag and ran downstairs almost running over dad.
"Woah there Lana!!!!! You gotta watch where your going silly girl!" He said smiling and ruffling my hair which made me very angry.
"Come on let's go!!!!!" I urged.
"Ok ok calm down lets go if you're so eager",
"Yay!"
As we pulled into the small parking lot near school where I agreed to meet Dad later after the day was done, I realized it was raining....... And I didn't have an umbrella. I looked to my wonderful, fantastic, amazing, spectacular father who was smiling and holding a pink umbrella towards me. A smile almost immediately stretched my lips.
"Have a good day, my girl! Love you and I hope you like your new school!" He said in a cheery tone.
"Thanks, I will daddy and I love you tooooooo!" I said with a nervous smile.Dad sensed my nervousness and told me "Don't worry Allana you are a wonderful girl and I bet everyone will love you! Don't be nervous, ok?"
"Ok" I said as I turned on my heel giving my dad a little wave as started the small walk to school.
As I approached the school I ran into the principal. Since I was new she recognized me and quickly ushered me inside to the office where I was to pick up my schedule, agenda and sign a whole bunch of forms for new children. Then she walked out to the gazebo where lots of people were chatting with their friends before hometown began. She brought me over to a group of girls who looked kind.
"Hello girls"
"Hi Miss Sower!" They chirped in unison.
"You girls are juniors, yes?" She asked kindly.
"Yeah totally", One girl with tanned skin and thick shoulder length black hair answered.
"And which one of you is the nicest?" Miss Sower asked them.
