The hospital room smelt of drugs. But no smell was as pleasant as that of a new life. She and her husband giggled as the tiptoed to their baby's cot.
Sure she was still so small and fragile, but they had something great for her. The baby giggled as the amethyst necklace dangled above her raising her, they put it around her neck.
Now a heroine had been born.
