Peace is what I seek
Calm is what I'll never be
My troubles never give me rest
There's no break, no respite.
Even the peace I think I have is all fake
A facade to cover my inner fights
My smiles are all plastic
Default setting to hide my dislike
The sugar coated life isn't easy
You say one thing and mean something else
After all, only sweet nothings work best
But once I stopped to think
Once I stopped to breathe
I realized that true peace was always with me. . .
Hidden in the silence.
