*Authors note: just so we're clear, there is some hot and heavy stuff near the end here. It wasn't like I wouldn't eventually write even "hotter" stuff later on in the series. This is just a warning.

What a night this turned out to be. Devins ex-girlfriend; Kylie calling him out of the blue telling him in not so many words that he either got his cat now or never. And then turns out without even knowing it was going to happen, I got caught in the hysteria she started spouting out at Devin.

"And then she just started freaking out at me, saying that I only liked girls when we were dating, and thinking the reason I didn't love her anymore was because of Alistair."

"That's exaggerating it quite a bit isn't it? I mean Jesus you just found out that you liked guys. Well so far just Alistair, but still." Ricky responded. I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Thanks dude, that makes me feel so much better about myself."

"You know what I mean." He currently had Cassy in his lap, holding her hosta- I mean snuggling her. Devin was sitting between my legs, with his back leaning against my chest while I leaned against the wall. We made the floor our seat when we got back since all other seats were taken. Did you hear me complaining? No. I had my arms around Devin, so I could hold both his hands. Every so often I would start waving his arms in the air like an idiot and for some reason he let me do that.

"So basically, she called you over in an excuse to get upset over something that has nothing to do with her?" Blake asked.

"When you put it that way, yes it seems that way."

"You know, being a woman you would think I know how a woman acts, but really we have no clue how each other acts."

I started waving Devins arms again. "You think, how long have I lived with you and I still don't get half the stuff you talk about."

"Harharhar."

I felt Devin squeeze my hands and pull me so I was wrapping my arms around his waist and my face was buried in his neck.

"By the way, wasn't she the first one to tell you that you guys just weren't working out before." Devin glanced up at Chris. "Yes, but it was mutual, or so I thought. I don't know anymore. Maybe it's definitely best if we don't talk to each other too much anymore until things settle down."

"Good idea."

"Oh!" He let go of my hands and wiggled out of my arms. He pointed his forefinger to me. "Did you know he writes songs?"

"Really?!" They all jumped forward from wherever they were sitting. I still had my arms around Devin as I looked up at them.

"I swear you would have the same reaction if you said 'bacon'." I muttered.

Devin started laughing, and the others were in kind of a weird state of shock. Yes I write songs, it's not exactly groundbreaking news, lots of people do it.

"Can I see some of your work?" Ricky asked.

Point blank. "No."

"Can I see?" Chris tried.

Again. "No."

"What about me?" Devin asked staring over at me.

"Maybe."

"What why does Ghost get to see?!" Ricky whined.

"I said maybe, I don't know guys, I haven't actually shown anybody my work before. It's not something I broadcast." I glared pointedly at Blake. "That you even found out about it is her fault."
