The song above is to give you an idea of Daniel's current mood.

I awoke with a sudden chill and sat  in bed with tears dripping down my cheeks.

It was that same nightmare that I've always had ever since high school.

For some reason, I couldn't stop dreaming about falling into a dark pool of water and feeling extreme pain; as if my atoms were tearing apart, one by one. I don't even know how it started...

This time, I arrived at work really early. It was only 6:30 AM. I didn't feel like going back to sleep so I thought that I might as well stay up to avoid that horrifying dream.

I sat down and sighed, that stupid same lady came up to me again. Her name was Victoria Edna and she taught in the math department, just like me. "Hey, Daniel. Have you graded my student's assignments yet? I'm sorry for making you review over the subject and all but really-" I cut her off, tired of hearing her bullshit.

"It's fine, really. I get it. Don't stress over it." I forced a smile.

"You don't look too well, Daniel." She said with a concerned look. Great, is that all she can really say to me? How complimenting. "Do you want some coffee? I was about to make some in the office." She suggested. I stared at her blankly and sighed again, "No thank you. It's fine Mrs. Edna."

"Okay then, and hey! Don't call me Mrs. Edna, call me Victoria." She demanded, I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways, I gotta go practice for the upcoming concert." I instantly stood up and quickly walked past her. Everything about her annoyed me. That includes: her looks, her midget height, and her ugly personality.

I walked up the stairs near our department to go to the science department area. Eric taught both science and engineering classes. I loved how he was passionate in everything that he taught but sometimes he can really get on the student's nerves when he addresses them a certain way. I don't blame them.

"Hey Eric." I smiled while peeping out of the corner of the door. I peered into the room to see that it was only him since advisory didn't start yet. He turned around with goggles still on, his engineering- construction white helmet, and gloves. Eric looked at me as if he was dumbfounded, interrupted in his little experiment that he was currently doing. I eyed his hands that was fiddling with the tools.

"Oh. Hey Daniel." Something was strange with the atmosphere.

"Do you want to practice on our instruments today? Ashley said that we had to rehearse with the crew later after school." I suggested. I stood there, suddenly feeling nervous and hesitant to go near him.

"Come here, Daniel. I'm not going to bite you." He said in an almost serious tone yet playful tone. I thought some more but gave in.

"Of course, let's practice after I set up the labs for the engineering kids." He muttered as he began setting up the equipment.

I pulled a chair to the side and sat down. My legs crossed over the other. It was my habit that I developed back in middle school whenever I got nervous. Silence hung in the air. I looked around the room and tried to think of something to say but for some reason I couldn't even verbalize.
