"Fuck." I muttered under my breath.
A wave of fear and irritation arose.
My eyes darted from Eric's to Stefan, and then back to Eric's.
Eric had a lump in his throat. He tried to swallow his shock.
"Um, Mr. Léonce, may I speak to you?" Eric eyed the floor, his rubbed the back of his neck.
"Y-Yes, I will be right with you, Mr. Pendles." I croaked.
He nodded, then turn to head out the door, but the door shut loudly sending a shock down our spines.
"Hey, Daniel," Stefan said with worry in both his voice and eyes. "Go take care of it...and.." He cut himself off.
I nodded but with hesitance in each nod.
I stood up from the chair, gently pushing the chair in. I walked towards the door, relaxed my shoulders, and flatten out my button down top.

The minute I stepped outside, Eric grabbed me by the collar, lifting me off the ground.
I hadn't realized how strong he was until now.
"E-Eric...I can't...breath..." I gasped.
He released his grip. "I-I'm sorry!"
I sighed, massaging my neck and fixing my collar.
"Daniel, did you kiss Stefan?" He asked.
I looked from the ground then straight into his eyes, "Did you see us?"
He nodded, clenching his jaw."Y-Yeah, I did."
"Then, I did." I said bluntly, trying to hide my fear and embarrassment.
His eyes widen a bit, then he opened his mouth but shut it quickly before he could say a word.
"Look, I couldn't help myself. When I saw Stefan fast asleep, he just looked, I don't know..."
"Tempting? Innocent? Pure?" He continued my sentence.
"Something like that..." I ruffled my hair. I realized that I had forgotten my glasses today.
"Daniel, can you tell me, in your best words, how do you truly feel about me?" Eric asked with desperation in his voice.
"I-I....I don't know anymore...." I looked away, my eyes drifting to the glass windows that framed the door near the Math Department.
"Look at me..." I ignored his voice, focusing on the parting clouds.
"Look at me, damn it!" He grabbed my face and turned it towards his, his big hand cupping my chin.
"What the fuck is happening to us?" He asked, tears forming.
I felt nothing at that particular moment, "I don't know, honestly."
He dropped his hand to his side, stared at me, tilting his head to the side with disappointment. His mouths were left parted, he was frowning some what.
He tried to speak, but all he could do was mouth words that were inaudible.
"I-I'm.." He put his hand up to wave me to stop. "Don't say sorry."
He walked off into the distance.
I was left to drown in my own thoughts. I tilt my head back, staring at the ceiling. Then gradually, I slid down the wall, laughing as if I had lost it.
Which I probably did.
"Fuck this shit." I muttered.
I heard the door click open.
My eyes traced the long shadow to shoes that I knew belong to Stefan's.
"Daniel, it's my fault." Stefan said with shame filling his voice.
"It's not..."
I then felt his hand reach for mines. Unconsciously, I stuck my hand out, allowing him to grab it.
"Come on, Daniel."
I stood up, feeling all of my burdens lifted.
