Chapter 28 - Prom Date

Jane POV.

I was in Cameron's livingroom casting in my vote for king of the livingroom. Yeah, we reffer king as president. Everyone in the school was in Cameron's livingroom, on line, casting in their vote to elect either Shawn or Nash as president. I voted Shawn because Nash said he didn't even want to compete in this, he was forced too.

" And we counted to votes " Cameron said. Jack Gilinsky and him were sitting on the election table at the front of the line of people sitting there counting the voting cards.

" Yeah, Shawn I know you win " Nash said patting him on the shoulder. " I never even wanted to be king of Cameron's livingroom ". Shawn laughed.

" Yeah, Shawn won " Jack G said. " And... Nash was like two votes away from winning ".

" Oh wow " I laughed, " Hey, you coming to school? "

" Oh, right " Shawn laughed. " I forgot about school... school sucks. "

By the time we got to school, every single couple were kissing by the lockers and having a long conversation about something called... prom. I guess it's coming up on Friday.

Nash POV.

Prom was on Friday. I want to go ask Jane to prom, but first, I was going to ask the Magcon guys who their date was. Obviously, they all were with their girlfriends...

" Cameron, who are you going with? " I asked him since I knew he was single.

" I don't really know. " Cameron said slamming his locker shut. " Who do you think I should go with? Clarisse or Jack Gilinsky? "

" Gilinsky... " I said. " I don't think you should go with Clarisse... she's horrible ".

" Okay, " Cameron smiled and ran across the hallways to where Jack G was in the art classroom making prom posters with Jack Johnson and Carter.

" Shawn, who are you going with? " I asked him. I know he likes Jane and all, but I wonder if she even said yes if he really did ask her.

" Actually, i'm playing the music for prom " Shawn said. " Since, I won't be with any girl, then I wanted to be playing in the music and refilling the punch for people ". Once he said that, It makes me feel bad from the inside. He's single. Maybe I should let Jane go with him. But still, she is my girlfriend. I hate situations.

" Maybe you can ask Jane " I blurted out. " You know... I want you to have a great time "

" Aren't you and Jane dating? " Shawn said walking with me to Art class.

" Well... yeah " I said. " But, I don't want you to be lonely at prom, though ".

" Okay, " Shawn said hugging me. " Thanks, dude. I will ask her ". I love being helpful.

My heart broke a little, but it's worth it. It's just one prom date. Just one.

Shawn POV.

" Jane will you go with me to prom? " I said.

" What did Nash say? " Jane laughed.

" He said he allows me to go with you " I said.

" Well " Jane said, " Yes, I will go with you ". I hugged her tight in my arms.

Cameron POV.

I was dabbing paint onto the posters because I decided to help out Jack and Jack and Carter. Jack G agreed to go to prom with me, and I was glad that im not alone.

" Cameron! " Carter said flicking my paintbrush off of my hands.

" Why did you do that for? " I exclaimed picking my paintbrush back up.
