Chapter 21 - Childhood

Jane POV.

It was Friday again and TGIF! Cameron, Nash, and Shawn's parents were in the kitchen teaching eachother their secret recipies to cooking and chatting around while Cameron, Nash, Shawn, and I were in my livingroom supervising the little kids. It was Skylnn's birthday! Cameron's sister, Shawn's sister, Nash's sister and brothers, and my older brother was there watching Nash and I perform " Let it Go " By Disney's Frozen.

" Hey kids, do you wanna hear a joke?! " Cameron said beeping a clown horn.

" Yeshhh!!!!DO IT! " Skylnn yelled and all her little kid friends were clapping.

" Mkay! Why did I Lick a tincan? " Cameron yelled. " To slice off mah foot for blood! "

I pulled onto Cameron's arm. " Wrap it up... it's scaring the kids, don't mention blood! "

" Okay, okay " Cameron said. " I got nothin' else, Shawn you wanna try? "

" No way, my jokes are pretty corny " Shawn said. " Cupcake anyone? Cupcakez?! "

All the kids laughed. " Moar, Shawn! DO MOAR! " Aaliyah yelled. " Please!!! "

" How was that funneh? " Shawn laughed. " Im just offering the Bday girl cupcakes".

The kids laughed again. " Priceless... that's priceless!! " Nash laughed. "Gimme cupcake"

" Jane, why the heck is everyone laughing... " Shawn said in my ear.

" I don't know, maybe it's because they think your funny. Just roll with it " I laughed.

" Supervising is rather difficult " Nash said. " Om nom nom... cupquake ". I laughed.

" What do you like better? " Cameron said. " Being tall or short? "

" Tall! " Every kid laughed. " Because our parents think their better than us ".

" You kids have a point... lets kill them! " Nash yelled giving each kid a plastic knife.

" Nash! " I said a little dissapointed, " It's plastic, but they can poke their eye off ".

" Rampage!!! SQUAD! " Shawn yelled holding his knife. He lead all the kids to the kitchen yelling and they all tried to slice off their parent's leg off. But they failed to do it.

Nash POV.

I watched the kids destroy the kitchen as our parents laughed hardly. Sqaud...

" Zayum! " Jane laughed. " We better do this again when it's my birthday! "

" Exactly! " Cameron laughed. " These memories of parties we use to have as a kid was more funner than the drunk parties we had now. I loved this! Killing our parents! ".

I missed those times when we were younger... on my eighth birthday, we use to do this all the time. Attacking our parents, jumping on the beds, and Matthew even made up a little fishing game on the stairways by using my toy fishing pole and dropping it on our heads. Now that we're older, we get into teenage partys, drunk, kissing, and loud music.

I walked to the stairways holding my coffee mug and laughed as I watched the kids go sledding down the stairs laughing. I felt a tear fall down my cheeks. I missed it...

" Jane! " Cameron yelled. " Open up! I know your in there! "

" Cameron? " I said as I walked upstairs. " What are you doing? "

" We're playing hide and seek. I checked everywhere and I couldn't find Jane and Shawn! You better help me, dude... I feel like i'm being played ".

" And you didn't invite me in the game? " I laughed. " Okay, Jane! Open up! This is the only place we hadn't checked around the whole house! ". The door was locked, and there was no sound. " Cameron, Jane's not in there ".

" Keep trying! Why else would the door be locked from the inside if no one's in there? " Cameron said. " Unless she ran out the window ". A ball hit me hard. Ow!

" Sorry, Nash! " Skylnn said. " Whatcha playing? "

" Teenage Hide and seek, we have to go... bye " I said pulling onto Cameron's arm and dragging him outside to the car. I started driving down the streets.

" Dude, where are you driving to? " Cameron asked. " What. Jane? "

" Yeah, when you said she probably ran out the window, I suppose she went hiding outside the house... i'm worried about her! I don't want her to get hurt ".

" Hey, what about Mcdonalds? She always go there " Cameron said. " Pull up the car! "

Cameron and I parked the car and walked into Mcdonalds.

" Have you seen a hot girl anywhere? " I asked the cashier lady. Clarisse?!

" Clarisse, what are you doing here working in Mcdonalds? " Cameron said.

" Oh, that hot girl your looking for is right here " Clarisse pointed to herself. I rolled my eyes and walked away with Cameron. " Cameron, she's hitting on you. Stay fierce... "

" Okay, she's kinda making me sweat " Cameron said blushing and turning around.

" Cameron! Wake up! " I said slapping him slightly in the face. " I hate Clarisse! Right? "

" Yeah " Cameron said. " Where's Jane... if we couldn't find Jane nor Shawn. then it means their hiding in the same place. ". My heart cracked a little. Are they in love? Nah!

" Face it, they aren't in here, lets just drive back home " I said pulling Cameron's arm to the car.

" Call me " Cameron whispered behind my back and handed a peice of paper to Clarisse.

" CAMERON! LETS GO! " I yelled and drove back to Jane's house. " Don't call her... "

" Alrighty, jeez... " Cameron said. As soon as I steped into Jane's house, something pulled onto my arm. Shawn.

" Sike! " He yelled. " We made you drive out of the house! " He was laughing and all of the kids were laughing, too. They tricked us... so much hate... smh.

" What? " I yelled. " Where's Jane? ".

" In the livingroom playing Halo II on the Xbox one " Shawn laughed. " By the way, we weren't hiding in one place. We actually moved from one place to another around the house after every place Cameron checked ".

" Cameron! " I turned around laughing. " You wasted my time... "

" Well, I didn't know " Cameron laughed. " Lets just go watch the kids play ".
