11. Remus smiled affectionately

Remus' POV

Cold wind was ruffling Remus' hair around just enough to expose the tips of his ears to the cold air. His hair was getting just a bit longer than he usually liked it.

He was standing in this park where he was supposed to see the Black brothers. Potters had called him and now Remus was watching as three boys ran around the park and kicked a ball to each other. Remus smiled at Sirius every time their eyes locked ad every time he got a full theeth grin back

Remus had not waited for long, but soon he got company from the only lady in the bunch.
"Evening Mrs.Potter." Remus said with a loveliest smile he could manage. The woman smiled back and nod at him.
"I am glad you came. They have been absolutely outrageous." Mrs.Potter said with a smile.

Remus chuckled politely.
"I will take at least two of them out of your hands for a while. You two can rest." Remus said and Mrs.Potter took Remus's arm thankfully, leaning on to him.
"I know you don't speak about it, but it was a great thing you did for them dear." The beautiful woman spoke.

"Thank you." Remus simply answered and watched as the boys started to calm down.
"Expecially with a past like yours. Many people get mean with such facings like you." Mrs.Potter kept speaking and Remus' smile fell. He fixed on his best smile and took his hand away from the woman gently.
"I'll go get the boys. You bring James to Pettingrews and go enjoy yourself."

Remus didn't wait for the answer, instead he walked forward in the slightly foggy park. When Regulus noticed him coming forward, he tugged Sirius' sleeve to make him notice too. After Sirius turned around he smiled brightly and started to run towards Remus.

Remus rolled his eyes and accepted his defeat by collapsing on his knees. Now that Sirius was eating better he had got a bit healthier too and Remus was not strong enough to catch him from the air. Sirius ran against him and Remus hugged the boy tight, standing up with a huff. Sirius was still hanging on his neck, but soon Remus managed to put his hands around Sirius so that the boy was sitting on his arms.

"Have you been well Sirius?" Remus asked with a smile and Sirius nod fast. Remus had been dealing with the lawsuit made by Mrs.Black against her husband. After that had followed the arrengments with the mental hospital and her rights about seeing her two sons. Thanks to Remus their father got no rights and he was rewarded with a restraining order. Remus' had been running around and he even bought a computer to work faster and still it had taken three weeks.

Of course Mr.Potter had helped him as much as he could, but he was a busy man and Remus wanted him to be with Sirius and Regulus as much as he could at least now at the beginning. They both needed positive male figures in their lives. And yesterday morning at 05:34 he had finally sent in the last paperwork and called Mrs.Black to make sure she was safely in her new home. And after that he had slept for 22 hours, not straight obviously. He needed to use the loo and eat some energybars, but it took only ten minutes untill he was again fast asleep.

Sirius laughed and played with Remus' hair.
"I have been great! We visited this park last week too! And we have a spring break now." Sirius explained and Remus nod along. He of course knew that, because the boys were coming over. He could not take them in without. In the middle of this all he still had a job.

"That sounds great. Are you ready to go?" Remus asked and Sirius nod.
"Regulus?" Remus asked and looked down at the boy next to them. He looked surprised that his opinion was asked, even rethorically, and he just nod. Remus let Sirius down and looked at Regulus with a warm smile, staying down in front of him.

"Have you been well Regulus?" Remus asked and Regulus looked down shyly and nod again. Remus ruffled his black hair and stood straight.
"Say bye, so we can go." Remus said and watched as the two boys said goodbyes to their family, took their bags and returned to Remus who leaded them out of the park.
