Fiona's POV

I ignored the feeling of something nudge my foot until it became more and more annoying, I opened one eye slowly. It was my dog Buster his big brown eyes were filled with fear and glancing up I realised why. My room was filled with smoke, coughing I jumped out of bed, running out towards the hallway ignoring the naked flames creeping up the staircase I ran into my mums' room screaming at her to wake up. She wasn't responding, my heart was pounding as the flames crawled towards my room out in the hallway slowly taking over the house. Pulling back the covers I lifted my pale unbreathing mother out of her bed with difficulty, glancing around the messy room I noticed a bottle of pills spilt all over her worn out wooden bedside table. Not wasting any more time I came back into the real world Buster was barking his damn head off in alarm. Putting my mother down carefully I pulled open the window noticing the dozen of people standing out of my house. I gulped looking down at the long distance between us. Pulling back the sheets of the bed I tied them together creating a sort of escape thing they use in the movies. Hurriedly I wrapped my dog in a loop sort of way securing him safely before slowly lifting him down towards safety. Next was my mother she was especially hard because she wasn't moving or breathing for that matter. I screamed in pain and agony as the flames that had silently crawled towards me reached my leg burning it badly, tears poured down my cheeks as the fire slid up my legs towards my back slowly but surely covering my entire body leaving only my face neck and hair free. I collapsed into darkness.

"Fi! Fi! Fi! Fi please wake up! Please!" I heard someone cry out, "Hugh." I dryly mumbled realising who's voice it was "Oh Fi, your alive!" Opening my eyes painfully I inwardly cringed at the brightness of the room I was trapped in. My mouth was so dry and it was hard to speak "I'm alive." "Fiona Frauenfeld I believe you are breathing yes," I heard a new more serious voice say, desperately I tried to move my eyes to discover who this new person was "good anyway, how do I put this, well I'm sorry to say Miss Frauenfeld that your mother was not as lucky as you." The voice informed me "You mean to say that she is dead don't you," I said raspily. "I do Miss Frauenfeld, I do I indeed sadly mean to say she's dead."

Another one shot is done, if you have any suggestions please let me know as I will be happy to do them 😊
