I had gotten a call from Ashley, telling him to meet me over at his house as soon as Jinxx had finished. I jogged over to his house and as soon as I reached the door it swung open and I was pulled into a bone-crushing hug. "I missed you too Ash, but if you don't let me go the next time you'll see me will be in a hospital," I said, laughing. "Right, sorry Willow. But come in, there's something we need to talk about," he said, stepping aside so I could enter.
I walked in and saw something written on the wall. It was a star with circles drawn around it. "Ash, what's that?" I asked, pointing to the drawing. "That's some of what I'm explaining. Come sit on the couch," he said, nudging me over to his living room. I sat down in the couch, and he sat next to me. "I have a feeling I know what this is about," I mumbled to myself. Fortunately, Ashley didn't seem to hear.
"Have you been told about what's going on?" he asked. "A bit," I told him. "What do you know?" he asked. I explained to him what Andy brought me to see, and that it had happened before. "Well, you better relax kid, because it's a long story," he said. I looked at him intently as he began the story.
"About a week or so ago is when this first happened. Naturally everyone was confused, but the second time it happened there were more of them. One of them didn't have a mask, so he pulled down his hood. His exact words were, 'This is for every and all religions. You are under a new government rule. If you disobey, the consequences will be great, perhaps more of these. Do not run, do not hide, because we will find you. You cannot, and will not, escape FEAR.' then they all disappeared. People have been killed and gone missing. Something has to be done, but no one is sure what."
"And the drawing on the wall?" I questioned. "We had a secret meeting after the annoucement. We agreed on that anyone that had this symbol somewhere in their house was someone we could rely on in case something should happen," he answered.
I closed my eyes and sat back in the couch. I took a deep breath, trying to process all that happened. I opened my eyes and saw Ashley looking at me worridly. "If they can't get what they want, they're going to leave. And if they don't, we fight back," I said. "Like...an uprising against FEAR?" he asked. I nodded. "Do you think it will work?" he asked. "So long as you, me, Andy, Jinxx, Jake and CC are in it," I answered. "I guess..." he replied, obviously unsure. "It's just another war. We can take back our own power if everyone cooperates. But first, let's see how they act," I said. "We won't stand for this."
