I drifted into unconciousness with the note still folded in my hands. I awoke staring at the dimly lit straw hut ceiling. I stood up and realized that I was, in fact, back in Hysteria. I also realized I still had Ellie's note still in my hands. I gently put it in my pocket so I wouldn't forget about it.
I walked into the main room, where the rest of the Wild Ones were gathered in a circle. They noticed me when I entered, so I stood in the door frame, listening in on their conversation. "She hasn't woken up yet...I think we need a backup," Jinxx said. "But she still might!" Andy protested. "Andy, if she does, she can take her spot back. But if she doesn't, we need someone to fill her position," Ashley said gently. I scoffed, making them all jump. "You're already replacing me, I'm offended," I said in a joking tone.
They all spun around, and Andy was the first to process what he was seeing, and he ran over and scooped me into a hug. "I- we were so worried about you! You just passed out and didn't wake up," he said. "I'm up now, though," I said, as the rest of them came over and smothered me in a big group hug. "Gah you all smell like sweat," I complained, making them laugh. "You don't smell that much better," CC teased. I rolled my eyes, grinning.
"We need to tell everyone we're still on for tonight," Ashley said. I looked at him, confused, "We were debating if we should fight without you. We told everyone in the Legion of the Black we might postpone it until you wake up. We need you, you know. Now we need to tell them that it's still on," Jake explained.
All of them began to run out, but I grabbed Andy's wrist before he could leave. "Do you need something?" he asked, a concerned look in his eyes. Biting my lip, I nodded. Unsure of how to say it, I took the note out of my pocket and gave it to him. I watched him read it, his expression changing from confusion to a mix of shock and sadness. "H-how...what...Willow I swear to God if you're fucking with me..." he warned, but I cut him off. "I swear this is real. I saw her on Earth. We both have halves of our soul on there too. Now that she's gone from this life, all of her soul is on Earth. My mom on Earth brought me to a psyciatric hospital the other day, and she was there too. I didn't even realize she gave me that note until I got home," I explained, words gushing out of my mouth. He slowly nodded, and I hoped that was a sign he understood what I was saying. "So my sister is alive?" he asked quietly. "Yes, just not here," I answered. He didn't say anything, just turned around and walked out with a blank expression on his face. I knew this was a lot to process, but he seemed to get it.
Although, I don't know which is more painful. Knowing the person you love has no chance of coming back because they died, or they're still alive, but somewhere where you have no way to reach them. I suddenly felt a pang of regret for telling him after all.
I trotted after Andy. The crowd had gathered in front of our hut, and Andy let out a fierce scream to quiet everyone down. "We have come to the conclusion that we do attack tomorrow. Prepare yourselves, get a few hours rest, eat, we attack an hour after sunrise. WE ARE THE LEGION OF THE BLACK!" Andy cried, and everyone burst into cheers and shouts.
I looked around at everyone and smiled. Tradgedies brought us closer than ever, and now we're going to battle together.
After that, everyone broke up and scattered, until Andy and I were left alone. I turned to him, and he avoided my gaze, looking straight ahead. "Andy, I'm sorry. I guess it would have been better if-" I started, but he cut me off. "Don't be sorry, Willow. She told you to tell me, so you did," he said, his blue eyes staring intensely into mine. "As long as she's not hurt, I'm okay."
**Author's note**
Wow I suck at posting oh my God. So anyways this is sorta a filler chapter, I'm not even too sure why I wrote this. But we're going with it anyways. But the reason I didn't post last night was because I went to the "midnight" (10:30) premier of Divergent! Who else saw it? I really liked it, (no spoilers) it stayed true to the book 95%, but it cut out some parts/people that they shouldn't have because they'll regret it later on in Insurgent and Allegiant. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I really recommend it, though it's suggested you read the book first because it explains some things a bit more than the movie. Overall it makes more sense. Don't be scared by the fact it's 500+ pages, the words are really big. I've rambled for too long about this, but good book, highly recommend it.
