Later in the evening, Andy called a meeting of the Wild Ones. We all gathered in the main room to hear what he had to say.
"As you know, I had to run back to FEAR to reclaim the body of my late sister. While I was there, the Matriarch made an announcement, presumably to those still inside. He said, 'We are not interested in the possibility of defeat. Not within the silence of a deserted alley, or the clamour of a crowded street. FEAR cannot be vanquished. We cannot be destroyed. FEAR will rise up again, control the masses, take back the power, and crush the insurgent hoard. As war fades into the distant memory of enlightened pigs and open wounds, the rebels will begin to perish. One by one, they should. Feel the fear of dying young. Do not ignore the chance to scream. Lie awake at night in terror admitting FEAR will return to glory. In the story of rebels set out to conquer, we will finish...in blood.'" My jaw dropped when he muttered the last word. "FEAR plans on defeating us, and will kill us all to achieve it," Jake summed up. Andy nodded. "If they're willing to anything, we should be prepared. We need more legion members, and we can't be surprised if there's casualties," Ashley said. I winced and snuck a glance at Andy, but his facial expression didn't change.
"What I got from the announcement is that FEAR is ready for us, whenever we decide to attack. In my opinion, we should attack soon. They might think we're still planning and trying to figure stuff out, so they might not expect us to launch the attack so early," Jinxx said. "Maybe that's what they want us to think," I said quietly. All five of them turned to look at me. "Maybe they want us to try and shy away from the idea of attack by trying to be overbearing. They might know they're outmatched, and want to try and intimidate us into just breaking and agreeing to let them control us," I explained. Ashley slowly nodded. "It could be either one," CC said. "Either way, Jinxx is right. We should attack soon, but make sure there's enough of us," Andy said. We all agreed.
"What's the plan once we get our army?" Ashley asked. We all fell silent. We were so focused on our plan to rescue everyone a few days prior we hadn't really discussed a plan for the final attack. "Simple," Andy said. "We collect everyone, and attack. There's no need for secrectness this time. We just bust in and attack. We need a group to stand by outside and a small group to collect the rest of the Legion of the Black that's being held captive. Other than that, we just do what we need to do to defeat them." "Simple enough," Ashley said, and we all agreed. "If all goes well, we attack the night after tomorrow. The only blood we will finish in is the Matriarch's," Andy said coldly.
CC and I walked out of the hut after the meeting broke up to try and collect an army. "How are we supposed to do this?" I asked. He shrugged. "I guess we just go out and collect people," he said. "Cool. Let's go," I said, walking towards the left as he walked towards the right.
Within fifteen minutes, CC and I had about half of the rebels standing in a mass in front of us. He took a place on Andy's rock and called everyone's attention. "We attack soon, the night after tomorrow. The night of, the largest group will go inside to fight the FEAR shadows, and possibly the Matriarch. A smaller group will be waiting outside in case of backup, and a group of three or four will search the cells for any more Legion of the Black members. We will take down FEAR if it kills us!" CC screamed, making everyone cheer.
My heart started beating faster, but I couldn't help but smile. Soon, it will all be over. Hysteria will be in a new era of peace.
**Author's Note**
I'm sorry the chapters have been so short lately. I'm trying to build up suspense a bit until they finally attack, and trying to make the story a bit longer. I hope you still like it anyways, it gets more interesting in the following chapters, then finally the last one + epilogue.
