Why-A Merome Story

Chapter 3

Hey guys. Sorry this chapter is a little late... Okay really late. But you see, I'm lazy and forget I have things to do.. Just be glad that I'm writing.

Jerome's P.O.V.

I sat awkwardly at in the teachers lounge, eating cold pizza that I found in my fridge this morning. I could microwave it, but I'm lazy and I'm also very tired.

I was awake all night, worrying about Mitch. I haven't seen him much, and he doesn't seem like his usual self.

"Mr. Aceti?" Someone says from behind me. I turn to see Loui standing in the doorway. I smile and pay the seat next to me. Loui crosses the room and sits.

"Do you need something?" I ask him, tilting my head to the side. Loui takes a deep breath. "Why are you being so nice to me, Mr. Aceti?" he asks turning his face to the floor.

Well, those words hit me hard. Is anybody nice to this kid? He seems alright.

"I'm nice to you because you're a pretty cool dude. Some people may not realize that though." I tell him and he lifts his head up. I can tell he is holding back tear because he is biting his lip. "No one wants to be friends with the gay boy.." he says in a faint voice.

Wait, he's gay, too? I feel a smile creep onto my face. "No worries Loui," I begin. "I'm gay, too. I have been pretty much my whole life. I have a boyfriend and everything."

Loui's eyes seem to sparkle and I take out my phone and show him my screen saver that just happens to be of Mitch.

In the picture, Mitch is sitting on the edge of a bench, holding the phone in front of him. That was the day he jacked my phone and took a bunch of selfies.

"He's a looker." Loui says raising an eyebrow. "You two seem like you are a great couple."

"We are." I hear a voice say. I turn back to the door and see Mitch walk in. I get up and jump Ito his arms. "Mitch!" I yell as he catches me, almost falling over. "Hey Jerome." He smiles and sets me down. I lead him to the table and sit him down in the chair across form me.

"This is Loui, Loui, this is Mitch. My boyfriend." I say. They both greet each other and then it goes quiet for a few seconds.

"It's nice to see you again, Jerome." Mitch smiles. "It's been way too long."
I smile.

*twenty minutes later*

"I gotta go to class." Loui announces as he leaves. "See you later." He says waving.

I turn to Mitch as he stuffs a blueberry muffin into his mouth. "I have to get back to work. Can you wait for me at my place? I promise I will be home ASAP." I ask and he frowns. "Fine... he mumbles then stands up. I do the same.

"Love you." He says pecking my cheek and walking out. "Love you, too." I say, just before he leaves.
