WHOA. It's an update?????

Jerome's P.O.V.

I sit in the corner of the cell with my knees pulled up to where my head is resting on them. All I want is for Mitch to be here. Or at least know that I'm alright....

Loui is the only other person in the room. Luke left to go 'comfort' Mitch while he grieves over my fake death.

"I'm so sorry, Jerome." Loui says. I can tell he is actually sorry. That's all he's said to me. I sniffle a few times. "Why are you helping him then?" I ask. Loui lifts head up to look directly at me. He smiles a little. "Because I love him. He just doesn't know."

He's doing this because he loves Luke? What does he see in that monster? He has me as prisoner for Pete's sake!

I shake me head. "Tell him." I say quietly. Loui gives me a confused look. "What?" he asks.

"Tell him you love him."

"I can't."

"Why?"

"Because"

"Because why?"

"Because he would hate me. He loves Mitch."

I opened my mouth to say something, but I shut it quickly. I forgot about Luke "loving" Mitch for a second there.

I quickly stood up and grabbed then bars of my cell. "LET ME OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW!" I screamed. Loui stood up and backed away as I rattled the bars around, trying to get them to break or something.

Loui's P.O.V.

Jerome rattled the bars around, trying to escape. I was standing by the for now, ready to run off if needed. "Let me go!" Jerome screamed over and over. He gave up after he completely broke down and slid down the wall, sobbing loudly.

I feel so bad... if it wasn't for my affection for Luke, Jerome would be home free with Mitch. I can't give in this time...

-flashback-

My Mother stood at the front door, clutching a large duffel bag. She kneaded before me and have me an uneasy smile.

"I love you, Lou. Your father and I just aren't working, okay?" she spoke quietly with tears threatening to spill out of her emerald eyes. "If you ever love someone, fight for it. Don't just give in and let your love walk out of your life forever."

And then she kissed my forehead and squeezed my small hand. She opened the door and walked out, shutting it behind her.

That was the last time I ever saw her.

-end flashback-

I'm not going to give in and free Jerome. Luke might hate me if I do that. Then we would have no chance at all. There wouldn't be a chance for him to actually love me back.

As Jerome sobs into is hands, he shakes and screams. I decide to go back upstairs and try to tune him out.

When I arrive in the main room of the small cabin that is in the middle of no where, I hear Luke's voice outside. There is a second voice that sounds so empty and sad.

Luke walks in and pulls Mitch in by the hand. Mitch's face is all red an puffy and he has large, dark circles under his eyes. I feel bad for him. He actually believes that the love of his life is dead. But in reality, his love is beneath his feet locked in a sound proof basement.

"Hey Mitch." I say with an attempt at a smile. Mitch waves his hand slightly at me. It's pretty obvious that he isn't holding up well.

For the millionth time that day, I quietly whisper, "I'm sorry."

Ehhhh.
