Washing the dishes was probably the chore that Joshua hated the most. He hated knowing that the spoons and plates he was holding had been smothered with saliva by another person, even if it was his lover Seungcheol. He hated seeing the mountain of dishes he had to wash after each meal.

He got started on his duties. Today, there was a lot more dishes to wash than normal, because they had invited some friends over to eat lunch. He groaned as he turned the faucet on.

When Seungcheol woke up from his afternoon nap, he found his boyfriend washing the dishes. He smiled instantly and made his way over.

He wrapped his arms around Joshua's waist and laid his head on his shoulder. "Are you tired?"

Joshua was surprised at the action. His heart sped up as he heard Seungcheol's husky voice and felt the warmth of his arms around his.

"Mhm." He replied. "Can you continue this?" He pointed at the dishes he still had to wash.

Seungcheol planted a kiss on Joshua's neck, making him shiver. "I love you, but you're on dish duty today."

Joshua pouted, turning around to look at his lover. "Please?" He did his best to act cute in front of him, knowing that Seungcheol can't resist when Joshua does aegyo.

He was right. But Seungcheol was really lazy, so he didn't give in.

"Nope." He said, planting another kiss, but on Joshua's cheek. He let go of Joshua and made his way to the dining table.

Joshua pouted. He put his hand under the faucet and collected some water. He then proceeded to splash Seungcheol with the water, laughing as he did.

Seungcheol was startled to feel cold water running down his back. He turned around and approached Joshua with a smirk on his face. Joshua felt his heart race as he was being sandwiched between his boyfriend's  body and the sink.

Seungcheol leaned in. Before his lips met Joshua's, who had his eyes closed and was waiting for the kiss, he scooped some water from the still open faucet and splashed it on Joshua's face.

Joshua abruptly opened his eyes and pouted. As Seungcheol laughed at his reaction, he scooped water from the faucet and splashed Seungcheol in return. It turned into a full on water fight, now complete with soap suds from the dishes.

Not long after, Joshua found himself sandwiched between the dining room table and Seungcheol. His heart was racing as Seungcheol leaned in, and this time, his lips met his. Joshua ran his fingers in Seungcheol's hair as they kissed passionately.

If this is the prize for washing the dishes, Joshua thought, then maybe washing the dishes might be my favorite chore.
