Tolu's POV
She said yes but with conditions which are understandable. She said she wants to finish her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and do her ICAN examination successfully before any marriage. This will also give me time to prepare myself of the duties ahead. I was very happy when she said yes, it was as if I was beyond cloud 9. I was elated,my inner man was dancing and thanking God. Words and smiles cannot expressly express or quantify my happiness. I hurriedly picked up my phone and informed Nanny Mary as well as Pastor Luke. Pastor Luke is a great man of God, I told him about what I feel towards Lola because I needed a man's perspective of the whole thing. Not that Nanny Mary's advice was ignored, but then spiritual backing and authorization is very compulsory.
At home,it was as if I had collected my result. I told my sister and she was happy;she even claimed to have known about Lola's feelings for me, I guess during their girly
gist. Nanny Mary has started planning for a wedding that is to be held in the next two years or thereabout. I had to calm her down and ask Bolu to help out in the kitchen and to my delight,my favorite meal was cooked: Iyan and vegetable with assorted soup.
