Lola's POV
Tomorrow is my introduction party. After serving my country for a year, I decided to celebrate by meeting my in laws and inviting them over to my house. Though I have seen Tolu's parents countless times, I have not seen them since I started courting their son. I am scared because I don't know what to expect from them. Though I have prayed, I hope all will be well tomorrow.
The next day
Everything has been set. The caterers have prepared different types of food ranging from Amala(A meal made from yam flour),Iyan(Pounded yam) to continental dishes. The preacher is already present. When it was time for Tolu's parents and family members to introduce themselves, something happened. It was a disastrous disaster,lol. It was not even funny that day. Immediately Tolu's daddy stood up,my dad shouted NO WAY! KOJE JE BE (This can't be happening).
Ayo Badmus is this you? All Tolu's dad could do was nod and bow his head. I don't understand.
Right there, my daddy declared the party over and without any explanation, he left.
From what I was told,I was unconscious for some minutes, my head was spinning.This is more than a bad dream, I don't even wish my enemy this type of disappointment. My friends and relatives were just urging me to take it easy.
How do I explain this? Am I even alright? Can someone tell me what is going on?
