Im a goddess?!

School is hell, was the only thought going through my mind as i got sent to the principals office. Why, you may ask, am i being sent to the principals office? I'll tell you why, its because i caused every single light in the school to crack and break. I don't even know how i did it, all i can remember is wishing that it wasn't so bright in the classroom, and boom, the lights broke and the school was plunged into darkness. I finally make it to the principals office and i see him sitting at his desk.

"Miss Thorne i assume you know why youre here?" Mr Arnold, the principal, asked with a frown on his face.

"Yeah, because somehow i broke every light in the school, now you and me both know that there is no way i would have been able to do that." I reply, sitting down on the chair opposite him.

"But somehow you did." Mr Arnold says, and begins writing out a form. He finishes writing and hands me the paper.

"What is that?" I ask, suddenly afraid of this piece of paper in my hands.

"Thats the form that has expelled you from our school." Mr Arnold says calmly. I just stared at him in shock while i tried to process what was happening. No, i think, i cant get expelled, this was the only school that would let me in, all the other schools didn't trust me, didn't believe me when i said my hair is naturally purple, that my eyes were naturally pink. And that i was born with this mark, it isn't a tattoo. I sighed and wished i had an explantation for why whenever im near anything that gives of light, it suddenly dulls. I decided to do something that would get me expelled if i already wasn't.

"Do you know what Mr Arnold? Fuck you. Fuck you and this stupid fucking school. Just because the electricity in this school is crap is no reason to expel a fucking student. Goodbye i hope you get aids." I scream and grab my bag and run out of the school. I dont stop running until i get home and when i do i run up the stairs, into my room, and collapse on my bed so i can scream into my pillow. What seemed like hours later, my mum came into my room and sat down beside me, rubbing soothing circles into my back. When i had calmed down enough to speak, i sat up straight and looked mum straight in the eyes and said,

"I got expelled today mum."

"I know honey, Mr Arnold called me and told me exactly what happened." Mum replies.

"I dont know why this keeps happening mum, even know, the light from outside isn't quite illuminating the room like it should, and its all because im in here. Is there something wrong with me mum?" I ask, my bottom lip trembling.

"No honey, in fact, there is something i haven't told you and i think now is the time you know. Alexis, im not your real mother, and Marcus isn't your real father, your real parents are Hecate the Goddess of Magic, and Hades the God of the Underworld." My now, apparently, ex mum explains, i just stare at her in shock and wait for her to start laughing and say its all a joke, but no, she just sits there with that same serious expression. It then dawns on me that she isn't joking.

"Im, im a g-Goddess?!" I exclaim, "But, i cant be, im just a normal teenage girl!"

"But you aren't honey, you know that. Your purple hair, pink eyes, heck even the way you act and talk all scream not normal." Clarissa(my ex mums real name) explains to me.

"So if im a goddess then why am i here? Why was i raised here?" I ask, sceptical.

"Because well, your real mother, Hecate, put a curse on you when you were born, but in a way its a bit of a blessing. You see Alexis, you are immortal yes that is true, but you will age like mortals until you reach the age 18." Clarissa explains.

"So i have 3 more years of ageing? Before i become what ill look like forever?" I ask.

"Yes and no, because you are a Goddess you can change your looks at any time. You have done that in the past remember? When you were 13 you went to a Paramore concert and wished you had hair like Hayley's and the next day you had red hair?" Clarissa explains and gets up.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"Im going to call your parents. Its time you go to olympus." Clarissa says and walks out of the room. She returns a minute later with a large golden coin in her hand.

"Come on Alexis, we'll have to go outside for this." She says and helps me up. When we get outside Clarissa turns the sprinkler on and shines a torch through it. A rainbow appears and she throws the coin into it while saying "O Iris Goddess of the rainbow, show me Hecate at Mt Olympus!" And then all of a sudden the air shimmered and a window of some sort appeared in the air and in the window stood a tall woman dressed in a Greek style dress. I realised with a jolt that this was Hecate, my mother. Hecate then turned around and started walking towards us.

"Ah, is it time Clarissa?" Hecate asks, and im shocked by her voice, for a woman she really does have a powerful voice.

"Yes, i had to tell her after a little incident at the school today." Clarissa explains.

"Ah yes, the incident when all the lights in her school broke? I have to say Alexis, that was pretty impressive." Hecate addresses me, and i have no idea how to respond.

"T-thank you Hecate." I stammer.

"Now, i think it is time that you come to olympus, you are a goddess after all." Hecate says, and grabs my arm and pulls me through the window. Just before the window closes however, i see a wall, black as night, tower over Clarissa and slam down on her.

"NO! CLARISSA!" I scream out. Hecate then turns and seeing the black force coming towards us, summons a torch to her hand, and flings it into the blackness. The second it hits it, it explodes in a storm of purple and green fire. I stand there shocked, unable to comprehend what has just happened. Hecate notices, and engulfs me in a hug.

"Im sorry Alexis, im sorry i couldn't save her. I am not powerful enough to do that, because you see, the force that killed Clarissa was Nyx, goddess of the night and my own mother, and i am not strong enough to defeat her." Hecate explains.

"I-i understand." I say, before i black out.

Ok so this is one of my first EVER stories, so i am really sorry if it is crap. So what do you think so far? Dont be afraid to tell me if i have done something wrong with my writing. Also i was thinking on giving Alexis a love interest in the story, but i was thinking maybe a demigod, what do you guys think?
