After Ri left I went ta chill with Chris and Eric. We was just chillen in the living room when Chris sister nn her friend Tamera walked in.
"Yea and she was like IMA beat her ass nn shit I was finna go live in that place, " his sister said being all loud. I couldn't stand her. She acted ghetto ash just like ha ghetto ass friends.
"Yo don't come up in here with that loud ass ghetto talkin Maleah, " Chris yelled.
They came in and sat with us fa a minute. Ole girl kept staring at me so I was slick uncomfortable.
After awhile I went to use the batheroom. "Yo.. I'm in here, " I said trnna put mii stuff in mii pants while ole Tamera girl busted in the batheroom.
"I knew yhu was in here nigga. That's why I came. I saw how yhu was looking at me nn I think yhus fine so what hu wanna do, " she said coming closer. The batheroom was small ash so I couldn't go anywhere but back. When I hit the wall I tried ta push past ha but she pushed me back.
"Aye girl ion want nun ta do witchu I got a full girlfriend out here ion need yhu so get the hell out mii way fa I push yo ghetto ass out mii way. "
She tried kissing me but I dodge tht shitt. Ole nasty ass lips. I pushed her onto the toilet nn ran out tha batheroom.
"Dirty ass hoes mane, " I whispered ta myself. "Aye Chris I'm fnna roll out bru i'll catch y'all later ighii." I said given Eric and chris dap while mean muggin ole hoe on tha couch. Chris shook his head and Eric laughed.
"She tried ta get cho ass didn't she, " Eric laughed as chris whispered. I nodded yeah nn they started laughen harder.
"Fuck yall. Bye Leah, " I said walking to the door.
"Grama I'm home, where yhu at, " I said closing the door. The house was silent but I heard small sniffles coming from the den. " Yo Grams. "
I walked in and she was on the couch tears rolling down ha checks. "Yo Kendall wassupwhy y'all cryin? " I was finna get pissed but instead I sat between em both and put they heads on mii shoulders. "Wassup somebdii tell me some. "
Kendall sat up and looked at me then the floor. Her face was bright red. Kendall is mii moms all time nurse. She was always here.
"I'm sorry D she's gone, " pain shot threw mii heart. Ta keep from crying I looked at the ceiling. I ran mii hand across mii face and got up. I walked to the room and stopped at the door. It was cracked and no beeping sounds were coming from the room.
Without thinking twice I pushed it open and looked. Just looked. I couldn't move I was brought back to reality when I felt mii cheeks get warm.
I sat in the chair next to her and held her hand. She was just there peacefully with her eyes shut nd her covers pulled up to her neck.
"I love yhu moma. Rest easy and watch over us k, " I said letting tears roll down mii cheeks and kissing her forehead.
Ma'Riyah
It's been to long of a day. Practice felt like hours and hours and hours of time. But it was really just three hours. I was about to drive home but decided to go out with some of the girls.
I called a early leave and left. I had mii music playing low and was watching the light change from yellow to red.
"Hey Grams everything okay, " I said abserring mii phone. Darrions granma never called me unless something big was up.
"Hi ri sorry for calling yhu so late but have yhu seen D he's been gone since a couple hours ago he's upset nn I thi k he needs a shoulder to cry on, " she said sounding worried.
"Um no ma'am I haven't seen him since i left earlier why is he upset I'd everything okay? "
"Shes gone, " with those words I instantly felt tears gather in mii eyes. Just image what Ds goin threw right now.
"I'm sorry grams. But I'm gonna go look for d and let yhu kno k. "
After an hour or two I stopped guessing on places he'd be. I'd checked the park the gym and the stadium. He wasn't there.
"This place means the most ta me, "I thought back to the place he took me a couple days ago. "Duh the court ri. " I said palming mii forhead.
I pulled up beside his car. It was pitch black except the lighting around the court. I took out the keys as I just watched. He shoot all layups but missed the free throw. He shook his head and tried again.
"You know if yhu aim for the inside of that square yhu might get it in, " I said walking on the court. He didn't day anything he just shot again. Missing. He ran for the ball but I got it first.
"I don't wanna talk about it Ma'Riyah I just wanna be left alone, " he said trying to grab the ball out mii hand but I moved it.
"D, ".
He looked at me and ran a hand across his face. "Give me mii ball ri. "
"Nope. Not til yhu talk to me bout how yhu feel. "
"Ri what's there to talk about... Mii moms is dead mii grams is dieing everything around me is crashing and truth be told ain ready fa this shit. So if yhu down be down if yhu not yhu can leave like everbdii else. " I took in everything he said I felt mii heart slow and mii eyes water. He looked away as I did the same.
"I just wanna be here for yhu D, ion wanna go anywhere but here ion wanna leave yhu. "
He pulled me into a hug and tears rolled down mii cheeks. Kissing the top of mii head he whispered, " She's gone. "
With that I lifted mii head off his shoulder as he whipped mii years away. His eyes glimmered in the light and I could tell he wanted to cry but was trying to hold it back.
"She's in a better place. It's okay ta cry baby, " I said kissing his cheek and bringing his forhead down to mine.
It's 9:45 and d is sound asleep.
I reached over him and grabbed the Netflix remote and turned off his TV. I layed mii head on his chest but he pulled me all the way on top of him. We kissed and said goodnight.
"K mom love yhu bye." I said hanging up the phone and grabbing mii bag and charger.
"You leaving, " D asked as he pulled on his brown timbs.
"Yea I gotta drive Avery and Alex so I'll see yhu later. " He stood up so he could hug me. We kissed and I started to walk out til he pulled me back into his chest.
"Aye can I tell yhu some, " he smiled pushing mii glasses up on mii nose.
"Wassup. "
"I love yhu, " he said kissing me. I was completly taken back bii his words. I stood there just thinking.
"I gotta go bae. "
