I woke up on the couch with dark asleep sitting on the floor next to me. "You finally woke up." A voice said causing me to jump. I looked to the stairs to see DIE sitting on the last step hunched over looking tired.

"DIE what's wrong?" I asked standing up while keeping my voice low and avoiding dark as not to wake him. "Your face is bruised and your head hurts and your asking me if I'm ok?"
He saids making me wonder how he knew I was hurting. "I can read your mind Ellie and your heart rate increased due to the pain." He started to raise his voice so I hushed him and took him to my room.

"DIE tell me what's wrong." I demanded because of the bags under his eyes. "Your in pain." He said looking at my face. "I didn't get there fast enough and I'm sorry." He apologized?

"DIE couldn't have known this was gonna happen and I'll heal I promise I'm not angry with you." I said pulling him into a hug. He stiffened at first but then it was like he melted on the spot giving into my hug and relaxing. "Now I was you to go to bed it doesn't look like you've gotten very much sleep." I told him while breaking the hug. But he grabbed on to my sweater sleeve as I was walking away and asked "will you come with me? I have bad dream." While avoiding eye contact. I smile and answer "sure."

We silently walk to his room and once there he closes the door behind us. I start to turn around and say something, but he engulfs me in a hug and plops us down on the bed making me giggle. But his face stays the same and he pulls me even closer and laid his  fore head on my shoulder.
"Your smell." He mumbles making me think the worst "what I stink?" I asked a little worried. "No, it's amazing." He mumbles out and I feel his body relax and his breath evens out telling me he's fallen asleep.

Soon I'm dozing off to till DIE raises his head up and asked. "Why do you like Anti so much?" This caught me off guard I didn't think DIE noticed that kinda stuff. "I don't like him." I said trying to keep a tough demeanor. "Uhhh yes you do, your normal around him." DIE persisted.
"I'm comfortable with him nothing more, and he doesn't just show up covered in blood so yeah." I say avoiding eye contact. DIE sat up and got off the bed. Is he mad now?

"You know Anti shouldn't have to show up in blood to scare you because that guy is worse than me. He's just good at hiding it. If you saw him on a hunt you'd be terrified of him and questioning if it was even the same person!" DIE starts to yell getting frustrated. Then his door swings open and Anti walks in.
"Hey! Stop trying to ruin what me Ellie have. It's not my fault she scared of you." Anti snaps angering DIE even more.

Wtf? This escalated quickly. Well I guess it's normal for demons

"Well she would be scared of you if she knew what you were going to do to her. What you DID do to her!" DIE yelled back making me chime in
"what? What are you talking about Anti wouldn't do anything to me, Anti?"
I question him for reassurance and comfort. "Go on Anti tell her. Tell her about how you were gonna have her killed by that sicko back in the warehouse!" DIE says quickly in anger making my blood run cold and my heart sink.
Anti just gives me an apologetic look confirming that it was true.
"Y-your the reason I'm here, the reason I'm not holding my little sister right now. Y-you t-took my life away. Why did you just let him kill me?"
I questioned.
"Come on let's go talk in private." Anti says leading me downstairs.

This better be good.
