New friend

Sorry guys for now writing notes above the first two chapters. I am really excited about this story Murphy is one of my favorite characters. He's my favorite psycho 😍. But I hope you guys are enjoying the story so far.

After we reached the camp and got several apologies from Clarke, we put together a plan to go and save one of my best friends. I walked out the dropship and seen everyone was making tents out of the parachute from the dropship. I smiled as I passed by everyone and over to Monty. "How you holding up" I asked walking up behind him. "I'm fine but I'm making a tent for 4 so it can be me you jasper and someone else" he smiled putting the last pin in the ground. "Hmmm I don't know anyone" I shrugged. He nodded too focused on the tent to answer. I slipped away and walked over to the giant fire that bellamy and Octavia set up. "Want one" someone asked shoving a stick full of meat in my face. I jumped back and balled up my fist out of instinct. "Wow come down warrior princess" Murphy smiled and pulled the stick away. I laughed and took the stick from Murphy and took a big bite out. I grabbed another one and started to walk it over to Monty. "Hey wait up" he jogged to catch up. "So you Sharing a tent with nerd number one and 2 when we get him back" he asked as we approached Monty. "Yeah we have room for one more but I don't know anyone who needs a tent" I shrugged as Monty thanked me silently. Murphy looked down and bit his lip slightly. He looked like he wanted to say something but decided against it. "Hey um I'm gonna head this way and go talk to bellamy" he said pointing over to bellamy. With that he was gone.
I woke up the next morning as soon as light came through the tent door. I stretched and woke Monty up. "We have to meet Clarke in about 10 minutes at the drop ship" I said throwng him his shirt. He groaned and got up as I was leaving the tent. Bellamy walked out his tent with a girl. She smiled at him and with a kiss was gone back into the tent. I met Clarke Finn, bellamy and Monty at the dropship. "Okay everyone ready" Clarke asked handing out small hand knifes. I nodded slinging my bag over my shoulder.
As we were walking Monty grabbed my wrist and pulled me back a little. "Hey Olivia can I talk to you about something" he whispered so Finn or Clarke wouldn't hear. Bellamy was in the very front leading us. "What's up" I whispered looking up at him. "That Murphy guy you hang around with" he glanced at me then back at the ground. "He saved my life in the forest from a man in a mask and we talked at dinner the night we made the tent that's it" I said remembering I didn't tell Monty about the guy in the woods. "What? Ugh it doesn't matter I want you ... no I need you to stay away from him" he said looking me dead in the face. I kinda got a little upset at Monty. Yeah he's intimidating and slightly rude but I'm actually trying to make friends and now Monty is telling me to stay away from him. "Why he's not a bad guy, really he's not" I defended the misunderstood boy. "Olivia do you know why he's part of the one hundred" he asked raising his voice slightly. "No but does it matter! I am here for attacking a guard your here for trying to hack shit! Does it really matter ?" I said raising my voice as well. Now him and I have stopped walking and were intensely staring at one another. Clarke and the others stood a couple feet away and stood guard. "Olivia he killed 2 people! After his father was floated he went kinda dark and a little psychotic" he said lowering his voice a little. I stood there dumbfounded. No wander he called my crime lame, it was nothing compared to killing two men. I looked at Monty and bit my lip, its a nervous habit of mine. "Please Olivia jasper would have flipped shit if he was here" he said grabbing my shoulders lightly. I smiled a bit and refocused on our task. Finding jasper.
As we were walking I couldn't stop think of Murphy. His face had a permanent scowl and his eyes were full of hatred. His hair was a dark chestnut and his blue eyes could end any war. His smirk is nothing compared to his smile. His smile makes his face younger and his eyes brighter. I smiled thinking about it. But I have to stay away. I admit I'm kinda scared of him now, but at the same time I want to get to know him and crack the mystery known as John Murphy.
While walking I was knocked out of my thoughts by a cry of pain. I stopped walking and listened. The cry was heard again and I knew exactly who it was. "Jasper" I shouted taking off in the direction I heard the screaming. Clarke called after me but I ignored her and went towards my best friends cries. I came to a clearing with a single tree in the middle and tied to that tree was jasper. "Jasper" I shouted running into the clearing not worried about anything else but jasper. I dropped my bag and started to climb the tree. My eyes brimmed with tears, he looks awful. The whole in his chest from the massive arrow was burned to stop the bleeding. He looked up at me barely able to keep his eyes open. "O-olivia" he whispered then his head rolled back. "Someone hurry and help me untie him" I shouted letting my emotions get the best of me. After he was cut down Finn, bellamy and Monty worked together to lay him on the ground. I ran my fingers through his wet hair. His hair was wet from sweat. I felt like we were being watched I started looking around and seen 2 men with masks on across the clearing. I grabbed Monty and pulled him down and the others followed. "There are 2 men across the clearing I think if we carry jasper we can get out of here with out being seen" I glance at Clarke then at bellamy. Clarke nodded and Finn and Monty grabbed jasper. We quickly stood up and made a run for it, making it with out being seen.
We reached camp and rushed to the drop ship. Clarke has Monty and Finn lay him out on the table. "I'll let you know when he's awake " she smiled at me and I nodded. I stepped out the drop ship and walked around back of the ship. I needed to be alone to process everything.
As I was sitting and thinking I couldn't help but think about Murphy. He didn't seem that bad, when we talked he seemed nice he smiled a lot. I thought back to what Monty said about staying away , but Murphy's smile and the mystery that is him made me want to stay. "Olivia" I heard Monty yell. I hopped up and ran to the drop ship waking past Monty. Jasper was sitting up and Clarke was helping him sip on some water. "Jasper" I breathed rushing over to him, throwing my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and held me close. "I'm so glad your okay" I sighed feeling his familiar warm embrace.
I woke up confused on where I was. I looked around and seen Monty laying on the floor and I was laying my head in someone's lap. I looked up and seen a sleeping jasper. I smiled and got up walking to the dropship door. The first level of the dropship is where we take our injured or sick. Since the incident with jasper we knew there would be more. It's been about a week since we found jasper and he would be able to go back to the tent soon. I walked out the dropship and covered my eyes, the sun was very bright and everyone was awake and working. I caught Murphy looking at me from the corner of my eye. I looked at him and he smiled at me, I wanted to smile back but I just turned around and walked back into the ship. I glanced out the parachute that's left and seen his smile drop and he looked down. My heart throbbed, I wanted to go talk to him and apologize, but I decided not to. I walked back over to jasper and Monty, jasper looked pissed. "Stay away from murphy" he demanded. I sighed and looked away from them both. "You told him" I said glaring at Monty. Jasper was like my older brother that I always wanted. Jasper got up with no problem. "Olivia look at me promise me you'll stay away from him" jasper said walking towards me. I backed away, I was getting really tired of people telling me what to do and who to stay away from. "Jasper and Monty I love you both but it is my decision who I talk to. I don't see a problem with him. He's just misunderstood! " I said turning away from them. "Olivia, he's dangerous and I don't want to lose you to him" jasper whispered.I turned and kissed jasper on the cheek. "You won't loose me jasper. Just let me give him a chance" I whispered looking up at him. He looked down at me and then at Monty. "Fine, but I will be watching and I will step in when need be and when I step in that's it" he said looking me in the eye. I nodded and hugged him.
After Monty and I got jasper settled into the tent, i decided to go on a walk. As I was walking towards the wall that bellamy was so focused on building I spotted Murphy. I walked up to him and poked him. "Hey there princess" he smiled at me. I smiled back, "um I was going on a walk and wondered if you would like to go with. I'm not good at protecting my self and I'm terrible with a weapon" I laughed. He smiled, "Yeah I'll go". Murphy and I left camp and walked until we reached the lake that jasper got shot at. I stopped as flashbacks played in my head. "Murphy wait" I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. He stopped and looked back at me. "This is where jasper got hit with that arrow" I said looking down as my eyes teared up. "Hey hey, I won't let anything happen to you" he reassured me. He took my hand and led me out in the open. I looked around paranoid as all hell. He looked back at me and squeezed my hand. "Your gonna be fine, I promise" he smiled. I looked at him and smiled slightly. As we reached the water I relaxed and stepped in. I smiled and splashed Murphy a little. He glared at me as I giggled. "You know what" he whispered. With out any warning he ran at me and picked me up. He carried me to the deeper part of the lake and dropped me in. I came up quickly and jumped on him. He wrapped his arm around my waist as we fell backwards. "I wasn't expecting that" he smiled. "Should we start practicing now" I asked. "Yeah we have to head back soon" he said standing up. We walked closer to camp and chose a tree. He pulled his knife out and handed it to me. "Do you know how to throw a knife" he asked, I shook my head and looked down. "Here I'll show you" he said placing his hand on mine and his other hand on my left shoulder. I smiled and looked at my small hand on mine. It felt nice, Murphy wasn't all that bad. With the right attention and love, I believe he could be good. "Olivia" he waved his hand in front of my face. I didn't realize that I spaced out staring at our hands. I shook my head and looked up at him. "You okay" he asked, I nodded and glanced at my hand. "So hold it like this" I said standing how he showed me. He nodded, "now being your hand back some" I did as told and threw the knife as hard as I could. The knife hit the tree and stuck deep in it. I jumped up and down clapping.

~Murphy's pov~
I watched Olivia as she stood there. Her purple hair still wet, her eyes a forest green. She was beautiful, I still have no idea why she is sticking around with me. I'm dangerous, I either hurt people around me or get them killed. She was so sweet and innocent. I told her to bring her hand back to get ready to throw. Her stance was amazing for never throwing a knife before. She threw the knife with her whole body and it stuck straight into the tree. She jumped up and down clapping with that smile on her face. Her smile could move mountains and her eyes could brighten up any day. I smiled at her, "wow that was awesome for your first time". It was getting dark and I wanted to get her home before anything happened to her. At the lake when I told her I wouldn't let anything happen to her I meant it. Its not that she needs me, it's that I need her. I need her more then she knows. "Let's head back, it's getting dark" I said grabbing my knife out the tree. She nodded walking next to me. As we were walking, we heard noises of the woods. Birds and other creatures made noises. Olivia walked closer to me, I smiled to my self. This girl was just absolutely amazing.

~Olivia pov~
We reached camp and I said good night to Murphy. I went to my tent and smiled as I seen Monty and jasper making some kind of liquid. "What are you guys up to" I asked walking up behind them. "Making moon shine" jasper turned and smiled.

~Murphy's pov~
I walked around aimlessly. I didn't have a tent, I need to talk to Olivia to see if I can stay in her tent. "Murphy" I heard bellamy call my name. I turned in his direction, "what's up" I smiled as he walked up to me. "I have a offer for you but there are some catches" he said glancing around. "Okay" I said annoyed. "You can sleep in my tent it's big enough for like 5 people but you have to stop hanging out with olivia, you have to be a complete dick to her" he said with a smirk. My heart sunk and I'm pretty sure bellamy saw the pain that took over me. I quickly recovered and stood up straight. "You also get to be my right hand man. You help me lead this camp you get to boss people around and you get privileges that others wouldnt" he added. I glance over at Olivia smiling with Monty about something. I looked back at bellamy and nodded.

~Olivias pov~
Jasper handed me a cup of his moonshine and I took a dip. It was okay for the most part, "gahhh that's strong" I cringed as it burned my throat. "That's the point" jasper laughed. He grabbed the bucket of moon shine and cups and went to the bonfire. "MOONSHINE FOR EVERYONE" jasper shouted. I seen Murphy walking up to the bonfire so I took this chance to go see him. "Hey murphy" I smiled as I walked up to him. "What do you want" he sounded annoyed. I'm not gonna lie his voice worried me. "Thought we could hang out by the bonfire" I said softly. "Nah I'm good" he said staring straight ahead at the fire. "Murphy are you okay" I asked placing my hand on his shoulder. He quickly grabbed my hand and twisted it. I winced as he tightened his grip on my hand and stared straight at me with pure hatred in his eyes. "I don't want to hang out with you and I don't want to talk to you anymore. Your annoying and lame. You weird and if you come near me again I won't hesitate to slit your throat" he threatened. He let go of my hand with a shove and I stumbled back. My eyes filled with tears and I stared at him for a second before turning on my heels and running to my tent. "Olivia are you okay" Monty walked in and asked. I was in a corner with my knees to my chest and my head in between my knees. Tears spilled from my eyes and stained my cheeks. I shook my head and hugged my knees tighter, his words playing over in my head. "H-he threatened to slit my throat" I whispered. My heart hurt, I was finally making a new friend and now it all fell apart. What did I do wrong?
