Stay away

~~Murphy's pov~~
   I watched as Olivia stared at me with fear, tears welling up in her eyes. My heart ached but I couldn't let Bellamy down and be homeless. She walked away taking off to her tent, I watched as Monty and Jasper walked in, looks of concern exchanged between the two. A few seconds later Jasper came storming out the tent and straight to me. I knew what was coming so I just let it happen. Jasper looked me dead in the eyes before his fist connected with my jaw, I fell to the ground staring at the green grass. "You ever threaten her again, you ever come near her again and I will float you" jasper growled. It surprised me, I remember Jasper on the ark, quiet keeping to his self and his two friends Olivia and Monty. So his words surprised me as I looked up at him. He spit down on me before walking away. My heart stopped as I saw Olivia standing outside the tent with Monty. She looked so weak and defeated, her fragile body looking like it would crumble if someone touched her. Her face all red and puffy with tears still streaming down her face. Jasper wrapped her in his arms and kissed the top of her head, before they went back in the tent.

~~Olivias pov~~
   I don't know if it was my screams that woke me up or Jasper's strong arms wrapped around me, but I didnt care I was woken up from that terrifying nightmare. "Hey your okay now" Jasper whispered in my ear before laying down in the bed with me before I could reject. "just sleep Olivia" he whispered stroking my hair before I fell into a deep sleep full of a happy smiling Murphy.
  I woke up to bellamy's deep voice outside our tent. "Rise and shine olivia! Time for your first hunting trip" Bellamy hollered. I shot up looking wide eyed to the flap of the tent. My heart racing, I didn't know how to hunt, only time I ever practiced was with murphy. Jasper sat up and motioned me to hurry up. Jasper and I walked over to the drop ship door where Clarke, Bellamy, Finn and Murphy stood. My heart stopped as I froze, Murphy looked up and met my eyes before his body tensed. He looked over at Bellamy and he gave him a nod. "Bellamy Olivia can't hunt she doesn't even know how to use a knife" Jasper hollered. "Well then you can come with and protect her. But Harper is sick so she's her replacement" he growled and shoved a gun in Jasper's arms. He headed off towards the gates as everyone followed, Murphy gently bumped into your shoulder before leaning down and whispering "Just remember what I taught you" before he walked off towards Bellamy. You watched him walk away before jasper nudged you to come on.
   We walked through the woods for what seemed like hours with no sign of any animals, we were about to give up, until we heard a horn blare through the quiet forest. I jumped instantly grabbing Jasper's hand squeezing it tight, he looked just as terrified. We all looked around before green fog started rolling through the forest as it got closer everyone started backing away. I stood in place though, lost in how beautiful it was, how the fog swirled around. I reached out to touch it, as it touched my hand a stinging pain was sent through my hand as it started to sizzle. "It's poison" I cried holding my hand. Everyone took off running back to camp, jasper leaving me behind. I tripped over a log and twisted my ankle. "hey wait" I screamed as the fog slowly started to reach my feet. I watched as it slowly started to consume my feet before I was yanked to my feet. "come on princess" Murphy huffed in my ear before hoisting me onto his back and ducking down into a little hatch on the ground. He slammed it shut setting me down as we watched the fog start to roll over the window. I looked around and noticed we were in a car, I looked around it amazed at the old hunk of junk. I soon came to realize, I was locked in this car with murphy, while poisonous fog was floating above us. I snapped my head over to Murphy who was staring into the green fog. "I'm not going to hurt you" he whispered before taking a seat across from me. I tried to move but winced as the pain returned to my hand and ankle. I held my hand to my chest and slowly pulled my knees to my chest. I suddenly felt unsafe and vulnerable being in this small space with Murphy. He could kill my right now if he wanted to. "I'm sorry your stuck in here with me" my own words shocked me as they left my mouth. Murphy looked up at me as his eyes softened, he sighed before grabbing his gun. I tensed up and he noticed, he slowly set the gun to his side and leaned his head back. It got quiet and you slowly drifted to sleep, exhausted from the running, the pain, and the mystery that is John murphy.
   "Hey Princess time to wake up" Murphy whispered slightly shaking me. I jumped up and through my hands up screaming before moving away from him. Murphy sighed before sitting back in his original spot from earlier. "I'm sorry" I whispered glancing up at him. He shook his head and slung his gun over his shoulder. He got up and reached for the hatched, I jumped up grabbing his arm, "Murphy wait". The pain returned to my ankle and I stumbled a bit. Murphy wrapped a secure arm around me to help steady me. "What made you so cold towards me. We had a great time at the river and you were helping me practice. I thought we were maybe becoming friends" I whispered pushing away from him, steadying myself against one of the seats. Murphy looked down deep in thought before he looked back up to you. "I didn't have a tent and I was trying to find you but Bellamy called me over and offered for me to stay in his tent. He said the only condition was to be mean to you" he whispered looking down at his feet. My heart sunk, he was only being so cruel to me because he was trying to keep a roof over his head. "Murphy, why didn't you just turn down the offer and continue to look for me" I limped towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "He said I would get to be his right hand man. And I guess power blinded me from what I was originally trying to do" he whispered opening the hatch. "come on, Jasper is probably worried sick" he chuckled before jumping out of the small space before he grabbed my hands and pulled me up. I tried to walk but stumbled forward hitting the soft grass. "I can't walk. I think I broke it" I sighed. Murphy pulled me up and supported the side my broken ankle was on, sliding my arms around his shoulders. His arm snaked around my waist and I shivered. He looked down at me and smiled before we started slowly walking back to camp.
    The gates open as Murphy carried me through camp. A couple miles back I fell and Murphy insisted on carrying me. All eyes were on us as we walked through camp. We walked into the drop ship where Jasper Monty and Clarke sat looking at a map. "The fog started here" jasper whispered. He looked exhausted, he looked broken. Jasper looked up at us and stood up quickly. "what did you do to her" he growled. He stomped up to murphy, I jumped out of his arms quickly careful not to land on my broke ankle. I pushed Jasper back, "he saved my life when you left me back there to die" I screamed in his face. I stepped towards him forgetting about my ankle and stumbled forward. "Hey easy now" Murphy chuckled picking me up and placed me on one of the makeshift beds. "She broke her ankle" Murphy said squating down to carefully take my shoe off. He rolled my pant legs up so Clarke could get a better look. Jasper looked between me and Murphy, his face filled with worry and regret. Clarke told everyone to leave, they started to pile out the drop ship except for Murphy and Jasper. Clarke sighed before standing up and placing a hand on her hip. "only one of You can stay" she glanced between the two boys. "I'm staying" jasper growled, shooting daggers towards murphy. I quickly shook my head "no, Murphy is staying" I spat glaring at Jasper. I was hurt he left me in the woods, knowing there was poisonous fog rolling towards us. Murphy looked up at me before a small smile pulled at his lips. "Now princess I don't think that's a good idea. Remember I'm still suppose to be being mean to you" he laughed. Jasper looked at him shocked, "what do you mean" he asked. Murphy stood and walked over to jasper explaining everything. "But I got to say, for someone as scrawny as you, you have a good arm" he laughed, jasper joined in before Murphy smiled at me before stepping out of the drop ship. Clarke popped my ankle back in it's original position and puts a stint on my foot. She wraped my hand in aloe leaves and then leaves the drop ship leaving me and Jasper to talk.
  "I'm sorry I left you out in the woods. I just got scared" he sighed playing with my fingers. "I know jasper. It's okay. I'm sorry I yelled at you" I smiled running a hand through his hair. He patted my hand before sighing and looking up at me. "Do you really believe Murphy about the Bellamy thing" he asked. I nodded my head slowly. "That day he was so sweet to me. He helped me practice to throw a knife and we had went to the river where you got shot, and I got scared but he made me feel safe. And when we were stuck in the car with the fog he didn't even try to hurt me. He told me everything. So yes I believe him" I smiled remembering Murphy's smile planted into my brain. Jasper nodded, getting up. "Then you will offer him a spot in our tent and we will go from there" he smile down at me. My eyes widened and I jumped up and down quickly regretting it as pain shot up my leg. Jasper laughed at my pain before placing a gentle kiss to my forehead and leaving the drop ship.
   I woke up trying to sit up but there was someone holding me down it was dark in the drop ship, I couldn't see a thing. "listen up pipsqueak. Murphy has a soft spot for you and since my bargaining didn't work with him. I'mma try again with you. Stay away from him, be cold to him. Tell him you want nothing to do with him. If you dont" Bellamy paused putting his knee on my ankle and covering my mouth putting pressure down on my ankle. "I'll break every bone in your body one by one" he whispered in my ear. Tears were streaming down my face as I looked up at Bellamy, his eyes were wild and they filled my whole body with fear. He pushed him self off of me before disappearing out the drop ship. I sat there trembling, lights flickered on in the drop ship and I jumped. I scooted my self into the corner pulling my knees up the my chest slowly making sure not to hurt my ankle more. I put my head between my knees and let heart breaking sobs rake through my body. "Stay away from him" bellamy's words playing over and over again in my head before I cried my self to sleep.
