The next day Emily is sitting in her hospital bed trying to eat when there is a knock on the door "come in" she yelled, since yesterday she has picked up so much, shes eating solids and can actually speak without it hurting, joseph left maybe an hour ago for the first time since she woke up.
The door opens and she sees joseph come in with come chocolate and flowers "you know valentines is coming up?" He says making her blush "yes I did babe" she replies before covering her mouth after realising she called him babe "hey, hey, hey its ok I like the sound of that" he says smiling at his one true love. "really" Emily asks in disbelieve, why did I not know he liked me she asks herself, I was so court up on Kriston, that I missed my calling card.
"you ok you look lost in thought?" joseph asks "im fine really just wondering how I missed the calling signs pointing to you." Emily says smiling at her boyfriend "I don't know either" he says nearing the bed to sit down "I always watched you getting hurt and was there yet you never noticed" he says "well you didn't ask me out now did you?" Emily says giggling "I missed your giggle" joseph sounded "you have never heard it before" Emily says matter of factly "yes I did, third grade was the last time I heard it through" he says all sad "well its back for you" Emily says, for once enjoying her life
