What if everything we know was a lie? A lie to cover up facts that can alter the universe and maybe keep us from finding our true potential? Cameras watching our every move, monitoring us. For safety reasons? Perhaps it's what they want us to think?
I know, I sound crazy right? I don't blame you, everyone says the same thing. Damn even I think I'm being paranoid!
I knew I wasn't, the day he came, the day I saw a ripple in the sky and did something really strange that may either shock you or leave you in amazement like it did my friend. Coincidence? Not at all, I don't believe in those. Everything happens for a reason. No matter how far fetched it may be.
"Everyone meet Dean." Ms. Nicky announced to the class. The so called boy, Dean, walked in. I instantly felt a tingle. A connection. A bond with him. I didn't know if it was from his style of clothes basically wearing all black except for a grey shirt, or was it his hair, black and messy, half thrown into a black beanie. I'm not sure, but something about him was really strange. We made eye contact. His stare was so intense that it was almost invasive. I felt like I knew him.
He broke his gaze away and found his seat. The tingles in my body stopped as soon as he turned around.
During the class, I felt him staring at me. His stare burned directly onto the back of my neck like a hot iron.I took a peek at him also. To get a good look of what he looks like. He was Asian, black hair, stupid smirk, and sculpted jawline. He was hot for sure. Well for the other girls at least because they staring at him like fresh meat. For me he was just another guy. Nothing that special there.
It was lunch and because we all know they serve moldy food, I decided to roam the hallways and go to my 'space'. It was a staircase that no one used and it had no cameras which was perfect for me. I've always hated cameras. Just the thought of people being able to track your every move is scary. Don't even get me started on the government. That's a topic for later though.
As you may have guessed by now, I'm a complete weirdo, but I don't take offense to people calling me weird. I accept it like an award. Call me a weird or strange, and I'll thank you.
I sat in the corner of the staircase trying to tap into my brain. I know you're wondering ' What the hell is she doing?' Well when I'm in quiet spaces and I concentrate, I hear sounds. Not like pshcopathic sounds, but just a glowing sound. Like something rushing. A radiating noise that sounds like waves in my head. I can't really explain it. I can't just make it happen, it happens on its own. It's weird.
I heard my friend calling my name.
"Hey Adrian, are you here? Answer me idiot! " She called while doing terrible ballet leaps towards our spot.
"Why would you even ask Ronnie? You know I'm literally always down here." I asked as I got up. Veronica, or Ronnie as she prefers, was the only one who understood me. Ever.
"Sorry. I thought you were having your moment with Taehyung your imaginary Korean boyfriend again." She laughed.
"Shut up! Don't act like you dont talk to Min Yoongi on the low. I saw you kissing him through your phone." I retorted.
"Hey that was one time okay! Plus BTS is hot okay, don't deny it." I had to agree then. We both sat down and talked about any strange occurrences we've experienced lately when she stopped suddenly.
"Adrian do you feel that?"
"Yeah, the tingling's back." I got up and walked out the staircase, peering into the hallway just in time to see Dean hurriedly walking away.
"Hey!" I shouted. He turned to look at me. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Its a free country." He said with a smirk and a shrug. Then out of no where he started laughing. I turned around and saw Ronnie with her hand stuck in the vending machine.
