I hope you all are enjoying the story so far, this one is a bit shorter than the last ( just short of 4k) but I think I ended it pretty well.

"This is where you'll stay"
opening the door to a small lifeless room she stepped inside slowly, it was empty except for a small dresser and bed that looked like it was worn out from a heavy sleeper.

She shuddered and turned to face the man that brought up the way to her new living quarters.

"You can't be serious? This is a piece of shit!" He shrugged not really caring at all.

"This is where some of the family sleeps, only those who need a room. Others live elsewhere. Now shut up and be grateful you're not dead already."

She narrowed her eyes and bit her lip, in fact realizing that he was right. She was grateful that they hadn't killed her, he spared her just because she could dodge a few punches here or there.

She was surprised when he gave her the spot to become one with his mafia crew, she's still in shock from the whole ordeal.

"Excuse me?"
She felt her jaw drop to the fall, she watched him lean back and rub his chin slowly. A movement she watched closely with wide eyes.

"Did I stutter? I want you to become a cugine."

She shook her head; not only was she unfamiliar with the term but there was no way in hell she was going to become one of them.

"What..."
she took a deep breath
"I don't even know what that means?"

She sat back, her heart once again finding a quick rhythm to bang against her rib cage.

"It means you'll be training to become one in my family, you'll be sort of a soldier in the making. You'll work for me and do what I say only."

He looked her up and down, making sure she got the gist of things.

Unfortunately she felt very uncomfortable, she still had on her waitress uniform and it was wrinkled and dirty from being manhandled.

She brushed down her dress slightly.

"You'll live here with me and others, you can say goodbye to your old life."
She gasped and protested

"Wait.. no no, I have to go back."

She pounded her fist on the desk and stood up

"You can't keep me here like some damn prisoner!"

He glowered at her, not liking the fact that she raised her voice at him; especially in his house.

"Sit down , this isn't your call anymore." He deepened his voice

"We could kill you instead. Don't test me"

She sat down at that, frowning and upset; She was shaking slightly again.

After a minute she spoke calmly realizing that there was no way out of this.

"What will I do?"

He smiled slowly glad that she wasn't rejecting his decision anymore.

"You will errands, take down those who don't know their place..."
he took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it with a lighter that he took out as well.
