Chapter 8

3rd Person Pov

Hyojin kept running and running until she was nearly at her destination: the main building. She wondered why she had been called there. This made her confused but also worried.

When she arrived at the main building's entrance, she was greeted by a receptionist. When the receptionist glanced up, Hyojin showed her the letter. The receptionist carried her instructions given by the person, who wanted to see Hyojin, and proceeded to lead her to the main office.

The hallways of the main building looked different to anything she seen before. It looked very sophisticated and well decorated. Fascinated by her surroundings, she nearly forgot why she was there.

As Hyojin arrived at a door, she gulped in hesitation whether to open it or not. The door was a big, brown door but it leaded to somewhere important: the principal's office.

She took in deep breaths before she knocked on the door. She opened the door to reveal 2 unfamiliar boys standing and a familiar man sitting behind a desk. Instantly, she knew that the familiar man was indeed the chairman since he introduced himself before at the exams.

"Oh Hyojin, you're here. Why don't all the three of you take a seat?" The chairman said. We all sat down but sat in positions, where we were no where near each other. We sat there quietly until the chairman continued. "All of you already may know me, I am Song Joong Ki. The chairman of this school."

"Why are we here?" A boy with black hair interrupted. Song Joong Ki stopped smiling at Hyojin and turned his face so that the boy and him would have direct eye contact with each other. Hyojin could feel the tension between the two.

"Remember how I announced you that you will become school president."

"Yeah, why?"

"Well..."

"Wait! Are u planning on letting this girl take school president? Me and Sangmin have worked too hard for that position! I can't agree with this idea."

"Agreed." Sangmin interrupted. Hyojin could only watch the scene before her. Too scared to say anything.

"Calm down, Rowoon. Sit down first and let me finish. It's nothing like that but your position as student council president is gone."

"What!" the two boys simultaneously shouted.

"Due to my decision of changing the school into a co ed school, the school system has changed including the student council. Thus we have to choose the student council again. Don't worry you two will be in it but I have an idea."

"Oh, no."

"You two will have a competition for student council president."

"Again!"

"Yes. However, this time it will be different."

"How?"

"You two will take turn of student council president this year. So when one of you is it, the other is vice student council president. Depending on how you complete mission I give you, you will get longer periods of time. However whoever wins at the end of the year, will be student council president for the next 3 years in university or a full scholarship if you plan on going to different university."

"Mission?"

"They will be very important but these missions will always include you and your partner."

"Partner?"

"Your partners will help you with your mission. Miss Hyojin, Do you know the reason why you are here?"

"I'm their partner?" Hyojin guessed.

"Yes but specifically Mr. Rowoon's. Do you know the reason why you were chosen?"

"No..."

"Your partner each have a certain disadvantage. You as student council presidents will help them throughout this school year as well as gain something along the way. For example, Miss Hyojin has a hearing disability." Song Joong Ki informed. As he finished talking, all eyes were on Hyojin. Hyojin felt embrassed and shy when all their attention was on her.

"Who's mine?" Sangmin asked so the topic would change. He noticed Hyojin's actions. As well as, he was also curious.

"Your partner hasn't arrived yet. She will come soon, maybe in a 1-2 months maximum. Durning that time, Rowoon will be student council president until she comes."

"Yes, sir."

"Rowoon, you will have the duty to inform and talk to the students as student council president in the entrance ceremony today. You're are dismissed" Song Joong Ki commanded.   He went back to his paper work after he spoke. We all bowed before we proceed to leave his office.

Sangmin immediately left, not saying one word to anyone. But Rowoon stopped me from going towards the main hall. He bowed towards me and introduced himself.

"Hello, my name is Lee Rowoon but you can call me Louoon if you want. It will be a pleasure working with you."

"Louoon, you don't have to be so formal with me like bowing all the time. My name is Kim Hyo Jin and the same goes for you."

"Do you want to walk with me towards the main hall?"

"Yes since I really don't know where it is."

"Didn't you go there for your exams?"

"Yes but I can't remember it too well."
Hyojin said embrassed but for some odd reason, she felt a bit more comfortable when Louoon laughed. He rubbed her head and smiled at her. They walked towards the main hall, talking to each other along the way.

Time Skip

All the students finally were seated in the main hall. It was huge that they fitted all the students from all the schools: middle school, high school and university. They could hold a concert or make a survival show there, if they wanted to.

All the talkative atmosphere died down when all the school staff were present. Silence came into the hall. It was like the exams all over again.

All the teachers began introducing how the school year will be and their expectations with support messages in between. The chairman gave a long speech but after, it was Louoon's turn to go up.

"Hello, my name is Lee Rowoon. I will be your school council president for the first few months and later on the school year. I will hope to lead you and reach the expectations given to me." Louoon introduced himself before he politely bowed. After his short introduction, he gave a support message for the students and teachers. He went over the rules, expectations and the school student council.

When the entrance ceremony finally finished, the school year was coming to a beginning. The students went outside one row at a time and back to their dorms, to get ready. Finally, It was the beginning of their new school life...
