it still hurts when i look at you,
memories flood back like a tsunami,
i smile remembering the times
you and i would sit out in your backyard,
and how we would admire
the fluffy white clouds and
the funny shapes they made,
and how we would blow dandelions,
making wishes that never came true,
i miss most of all how the wind would blow
your golden hair away from your face,
and how the sun haloed it,
i do also miss the nights we would cuddle in,
watching the old films you knew i loved,
and taking silly Polaroids
even when we knew then,
our love was soon to fade.
