It had been three days since he fainted. According to Chiron and Grover, he had a powerful aura. I looked at his unconscious figure. Really? He didn't look like much. But he did kill the Minotaur. I was thinking about this for a while. When he finally stirred a bit, I quickly asked, ''What will happen at the summer solstice? '' Perhaps he would know. I had overheard a couple. satyrs. whispering. about it earlier, but when I tried to get closer to hear better, they quicker scattered. When I asked Jackson, however, all he said was, " What?" I tried again. "What's going on? What was stolen? We've only got a few weeks!"

"I'm sorry... I don't -" he started, but then Argus knocked on the door so I quicker shoved another spoon of ambrosia in his mouth. He fell asleep again soon after that. I would have stayed longer, but a satyr came running up, saying that Chiron and Mr. D. wanted to see me for a bit, so I left.

"Annie Bell." said Mr. D., sounding slightly irritated. But of course, he always sounds irritated so I didn't. take it personally. He's only here because Zeus wanted to punish him. That's a whole other story, though. "Have a seat, Annabeth. " said Chiron in a kind tone. "It's. alright, I'll. stand." I responded. I leaned on the porch rail feeling bored, then I noticed Percy Jackson and Grover coming up the hill. Took them long enough.

"Mr. Brunner!" I heard Percy call. He was looking at Chiron and I realised that must have been the fake name Chiron used when pretending to be a Latin teacher. Chiron turned and smiled at him. "Ah, good, Percy. Now we have 4 for pinochle." Chiron offered him the chair to the tint of Mr. D. Mr. D. looked up and sighed exaggeratedly. "well, I suppose I must say it. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. There. Now don't expect me to be glad to see you." He said in a displeased tone. "Uh, thanks." Percy repiled hesitantly. I'm. not sure if anyone else noticed, but I saw him scoots his chair away from Mr. D. a bit. I bit my lip to keep from snorting. Caught in my own thoughts about that, I didn't. realise that Chiron called my name. Ah. I walked up, and Chiron introduced us. "This young lady nursed you back to health, Percy. Annabeth, why don't you check on Percy's bunk? We'll be putting him in cabin eleven for now." "Sure, " I replied. I glanced at the Minotaur horn in his hand. He probably thought I was going to compliment him, huh? "You drool when you sleep." I told him. Then I took off down the hill.

After I had made sure. everything was in order with his bunk, (a.k.a. his piece of floor to sleep on, seeing as cabin eleven was always overcrowded) I went outside. Seeing as Chiron and Percy were nowhere in sight, I knew that the tour of camp wasn't finished yet. I had nothing to do but wait, so I popped into the Athena cabin and snatched a book. Soon, I was totally immersed in it. As soon as Chiron and Percy arrived, I set down my book and stood up. I looked at Percy critically, just to make him feel uncomfortable. ''Annabeth" said Chiron. "I have my master archery class at noon. Can you take over please?" "Yes, sir." I told him. "Cabin eleven" I gestured. "Make yourself at home."
