Arabelle's POV:
They say life isn't always fair. And is it really? Life isn't fair cause life is a bitch. It takes everything that makes you happy in the blink of an eye. Living is unfair. Living a lie your entire life is scary. Maybe our lives are a lie you know? Everything you believe to be true to be simple turns out to be a lie. A sick twisted unforgettable lie. Friendships, love, the concept of a happy family, that's a lie. People lie sometimes to protect themselves to protect their heart. I lied and everyone believed it cause I did not give them an excuse not to.Kellan's POV:
The pack now had their Luna. I had my mate. Life couldn't be better. I walked into school happy. The happiness I felt inside beaming on my face. I get to see her everyday but somehow it didn't seem enough. No matter how many times I laid eyes on her I would still stop breathing every single time. Wait a minute that's too clingy right? No it's not. My head said. I shook the thought out of my head with a goofy smile.
That goofy smile had plastered itself to my face. She couldn't get out of my head. Is it a crime to feel so happy you may just explode? But I did not care. I was in love that was the reason for my extreme happiness. The face that I was hopelessly in love with Arabelle made me happy.
Students looked at me like I was insane. And I had to deal with the giggles of all the girls that swooned over me. I responded however with a smile.
It was finally the last class of the day. My eyes averted to the door every time someone walked in but it wasn't her. And finally she walked it making the grin on my face wider.
She smiled at me then blushed as she walked to her seat. Then Claire raised her hand.
"Yes Claire?"
Mr. Woods you look awfully happy today. "
"Claire that happens, when you are in love, I think." The class awwed, while some muttered girlfriend, like it was a disease and they did not wanna catch it. I looked straight at the reason for my happiness, that was sitting a few seats away, from Claire blushing with a smile on her face, as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
We discussed Shakespeare's plays, as a concept for the rest of the period. Whilst the bell rang, I let a happy sigh escape my lips.
"Your assignment is to read Romeo and Juliet, Acts I and II. We will discuss it tomorrow. "
And the rest rushed out, like a hurricane had hit the school. I shut the door and walked to Arabelle, as she pretended to pack her stuff.
"I missed you." I said as I kissed her forehead.
"I missed you too." She said softly, but loud enough to hear.
"Do you have to embarrass me in class like that?" She questioned.
"I don't know. I mean did I?" I asked playing dumb, a smirk making its way to my lips.
"You know what you did Kellan and wipe that smirk of your face." She said as her head rested on my shoulder.
"What! I'm not smirking." I defended myself.
"Sure you are." She retorted.
"I'm not."
"Are."
"Not!" A guilty look flashes on my face.
"You are. You have that guilty face."
"I do not." She damn well knew I did.
"I could give you detention."
"Please do. I hear the teacher is hot." She winked.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you." I challenged.
"May I remind you the hot teacher is also your boyfriend?"
"I know. And he's mine." She winked.
"That he is."
"Mr. Woods what will the girls say, when they find out that you have a girlfriend?"
"They practically swoon over me. It's like a life like heart eyes emoji. "
"Haha haha serves you right." I pulled her to me.
"But they don't know, that I'm hopelessly in love with you and that I will always be."
"I love you."If this is what love feels like then I'm in love and it's beyond perfect...
Arabelle's Pov:
I got home more than happy as Kellan dropped me home and promised to meet later.
As I say watching tv, the bell rang.
Weird mom isn't gonna be home till later and she usually lets herself in.
Nevertheless I opened the door. And I stood in confusion waited for the nightmare to unfold before my eyes.
"Is this Alessa Steele's house?" The man asked.
"Yes? Though I'm afraid I dont know you."
"May I come in?"
"Oh yes please I forgot to invite you in."
"You look just likr your mother."
"I'm sorry how does my mother know you? She never mentioned you."
"She wouldn't. I can't understand why. "
"Look I don't have time for riddles and guess who I am games really so please spit it out."
"Arabelle I'm your father,Mark Jacob Steele."
"You? My dad? Please my dad left my mother and me when I was little."
"And now I'm back. For good."
"No get out."
"I want us to be a family again."
"Yeah kind of late for that don't you think? 18 years is a long time. Well you sure took yours." Bitterness rose inside me for the man who stood before me. Who claimed to be my father.
"Arabelle sweetheart please understand. I was helpless."
"Well so were we and we managed to live our lives without you. We made ourselves forget that you were a part of our lives, that you existed. I lived my entire life without a father, without a family. You destroyed everything. I stopped believing in love, because of you. I stopped believing that I would ever have a family, that I would ever be happy."
"I'm so sorry. I wanna make things better for all of us. I wanna be with my family again."
"Well you lost your chance."
"But you are my daughter."
"I was never yours...dad." I said with anger and hatred in my heart for the man that ruined my life.
And he went just as he had gone years ago, this time forever, like he was never part of our lives and he never will be.
The man that claimed to be my father...Chapter 10.
