  (Alex's P.o.V.)

Lafayette opened the door for us to enter the dorm. A very tall, muscular man came barrelling at John.

"Hey my man!" He said while giving John a giant hug. I think that this is probably Hercules Mulligan that John told me about, the giant cinnamon roll. "I'm Hercules Mulligan by the way"

"Alexander Hamilton, but you can call me Alex." I smiled, sticking out my hand for him to shake. Instead of a handshake, he pulled me into a hug.

"Sorry, I'm kind of a hugger" Hercules said, scratching the back of his neck in embarrassment. "I'm so glad you got here when you did, there's supposed to be a giant hurricane-like storm in a little bit." He said. I immediately tensed up at the phrase 'giant hurricane-like storm'. John opened his mouth to say something, most likely about me tensing up, but Laf cut him off,

"Mon cher, this is John's new roommate, nous devons les faire date" They stage whispered the last part to Hercules. Just then a large crash and a giant flash of lightning lit the dorm up in blinding white light. I jumped with a yelp and latched onto John's arm, shaking in fear.

John started stroking my hair and muttering calming things to me as he led me to Herc and Laf's couch.

"Are you okay Alex?" John asked quietly, sitting me down on their couch.

"Do you want or need anything Alex?" Laf asked as they grabbed various different foods from the kitchen. I shook my head 'no'. I then laid across John's lap and stared up at him with puppy-dog eyes, as I poked his cheek.

"Can you sing for me?"

(John's P.o.V.)

"I'm not that good" I mumbled, feeling a pinkish tint gracing my freckled cheeks. I heard Herc whisper something to Laf and they left the room.

"Pretty pretty please" Alex pleaded like a five year old.

"Okay, fine. But just this once!"

"Yay!"

I sang a song my mom always sang to me when I was scared. It was unusual, but I like it.

I may not live to see our glory

But I will gladly join the fight

And when our children tell our story

They'll tell the story of tonight

Soon enough, Alex was fast asleep on my lap, and I could faintly hear a Disney song playing from presumably Laf and Herc's room. The storm was still raging on outside, the rain pounding impossibly hard on the windows. I looked down at Alex's sleeping face, I could get used to this.
