Today's Sunday, the holy sabbath, I woke up to mom's alarm as it played soft church bells.
Time to get ready for Sunday School.

I braided my soft blonde hair and put on a bright yellow Lily Pulitzer dress and a blush lipgloss that gives my lips an arodesent sparkle.

For breakfast I popped an Ego waffle in the toaster oven and had an early morning talk with my brother, Jake.

We went over the versus each of us had to memorize and he helped me with my Bible work.  He's two years older than me and two classes above me, making him 17.

As a family we all walked over to church, which is only one block away conveniently. I had my student bible in my hand and my eyes on the horizon. Today will be a good day.

Jake and I headed to the classrooms which had pastel pink walls and a big golden cross hanging above the door.

Pastor John greeted me with the sign of the cross and I preformed my memorized verse, James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

He smiled and handed me a chocolate coin, you can get a chocolate as long as you memorize the verse correctly, I always get the chocolate coin.
Throughout the class we focused on God and our experiences with God's presence in our lives and we also focused on the devils presence and how we can avoid the devil in our day to day lives.

Throughout my life I don't have any specific memories regarding a god or devil, it's been pretty ordinary, but maybe that could change in just a matter of time.
