Chad on the side --------------------------->

I heard crying through the baby monitor, I groaned but I got up. I wasn't tired I was just worried about first day of school at a new school also. I went into Catalina's room and picked her up; I changed her nappy and bought her out to the kitchen to get her bottle ready. I then looked at the clock and it said 6 am, it was early but I'm used to it at least I'm not hung over like normal. After I had Catalina fed and cleaned up I put toys over her while she was in her bouncer. I then made myself some coffee and some toast. I ate and that's when mum and dad came out normally dad is up before anyone else it looked like he has been up awhile he just didn't come out of the room straight away. I said good morning to them and then told them I was going to get ready for school. We have to wear plain white polo shirt with orange and black trim with the school logo embroidered on the front of the shirt and black basketball shorts. We have to wear black joggers with white socks as well. I didn't do my hair as always it just spikes up on its own and it does look messy from the bed but it still looked good I think it did the girls liked my appearance so it must be good. After I was done I went to get my bag ready for school, I looked at my watch and realized it was only 7.30am. I walked out to the kitchen to see if everyone was ready to go, my brother was dressed and ready as well as Ruby and Catalina.

We got in the car and headed off; dad took me while mum took Callum and the girls. We drove in silence for awhile, and then dad broke the silence.

"So, are you excited about starting school?" dad said giving me a side glance.

"Yeah sort off, I'm just worried about the other kids and if I'm going to make friends" I said while looking out the side window. (I know I sound like a baby which I'm not I just don't want to make a wrong decision when I make friends like last time).

"You'll be fine don't worry about it ok, just be yourself and don't get into fights like at your old school." He said to me while we stopped for a red light. "And just remember that you are a smart boy, yeah you might think with your smaller head sometimes, especially when a pretty girl walks by" we both laughed at this and then he continued after the light went green. "But you do have a good head on your shoulder and I know you will make the right decision this time with making friends." Now we were almost at the school. I started freaking out as we stopped. Dad got out first and then me. We walked up to the office and went in.

The office lady greeted us "good morning how might I help you?"

"Good morning to you too," dad said politely. "My name is Antonio Andretti and this is Enrique Andretti"

"Hi" I said to the lady.

"Oh yes you're the new boy" she said a look of worry, and then she looked me up and down. Then she picked the phone up and pressed a button. "Sir the new student Enrique Andretti has just arrived." She glared at me and then looked away.

Dad looked at me with one eyebrow up, while I shrugged confused as well.

"Yes sir." The office lady put the phone down then spoke to us. "The principal will be with you shortly. Just sit over there and he'll be there in a minute."

"Why does he have to see us for," dad furrowed his eyebrows in a confused way.

"The principal normally talks to the parents and student before they start and then he takes them to there homeroom" she said still looking at me suspiciously.

"Oh ok thanks" dad was still confused.

About a minute after we sat down an older man came out and came towards us. "Good morning Mr. Andretti and Enrique, my name is Mr. Jason Wilson I am the principle of the school." He held out his hand to dad and dad shook it and then he did the same to me which I returned. Mr. Wilson looked like he was in his 40s with graying hair and a moustache. He was tall probably around 6'8" which is shorter than dad is, he seems to be a nice guy. "So why don't we come to my office to chat then."
