*Amy's POV*
"Okay, Martha I want you to sit next to Louise so we can take a snapshot!" I told my new friend, Martha, a 70 year old lady. It all started with my volunteer work and we became close. She reminds me of my grandma before she passed away.
"Alright, Amy, I have to go to the early bird special with Louise but I'll see you in about 2 hours after bingo!"
"Bye Martha!" I said and I walked out of the elderly home and walked up the street to baskin robins.
"Hello, how may I help you?" The man asked me with a smile.
"I'll take the new Coca-Cola float with Mint Chocolate and Chocolate Chip."
"Alright!" He then came back with my float and I handed him the cash and then I sat down at a table for two. As I stared at the happy couples pass by. Over the last two weeks, I figured out that I do like Austin. As I stared at the next couple, I saw Austin with my so- called best friend holding hands. Mackenzie was with Austin and they sat down together they ordered a chocolate sundae and the shared it together. I ignored them and put my headphones in my ears. I pressed play and the first song that came up was "Teardrops On My Guitar" Taylor Swift.
Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about,
And she's got everything that I have to live without.
Drew talks to me, I laugh 'cause it's just so funny
And I can't even see anyone when he's with me
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?

So I drive home alone.
As I turn out the light

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.
The song came to an end and I glanced over to Austin. He was with Mack and they were laughing and enjoying eachother's company. I frowned and started to walk out the door. I was soon interrupted by Mack pulling me to the table.
"Hey Amy! So we were just talking about how much of a bitch your grandma was. I'm so glad she died." She said
"Mack please don't talk shit about my grandma"
"Sorry, bitch but I won't stop talking about that slutty bitch"
"Mack stop it she was the nicest person in the world" I said with anger in my voice
"Shut up Amy your bitchy grandma deserved her death" She said and with that I broke
I walked away. "What's wrong Amy, is the truth too painful?"
I turned to my old best friend as the tears fell down.

I walked in the rain drenched in water. I knocked on Alex's door. Please open the door.
"Coming!" Alex's mom said. A few seconds later she opened the door. "Oh, Amy what happened?"
"Mackenzie was talking bad about my grandma." I said whispering as the tears fell down again.
"Well, I still have your clothes from last time you slept over. Go take a nice warm bath and I'll make you your favorite cookies." She said "Alex, come down here"
"Yeah Mom?" Alex said and he glanced over at me and he ran down the stairs. "Amy, come to my room." He said
"Thanks" I said to Alex's mom.
I opened the door of Alex's room and got my leftover clothes and a towel. I walked to the shower and turned it on.

I went to Alex's room and got up on the top bunk of his bunk bed.
"Amy, my Mom told me what happened. I'm so sorry Mack said that." He said climbing on top of the bunks to get to me.
"Thanks but Austin was there and he just stayed silent" I said
"That dick!" He said. I laughed at his comment and responded,
"And there is one other thing about Austin" I said looking down at the bed.
"Tell me" Alex said.
"I like Austin" I said
