Listen to me please,
For I have a heart full of weight
Of all the things I have to say,
Without a break or delay.
Listen to me please
Without questioning, and
Without correcting, for
There's a huge cue awaiting.
Listen to me please
Not interrupting for you to speak,
Not arguing for your curiosity
This is my story, with scars that it left me.
Listen to me please
For my mind is coated with horror
Of all the judgemental species
Of all the painful badger.
Listen to me please
Of all the fears I have
I trust you, I chose you
'cause you are special to me.
Listen to me please
Listen thoroughly
To each and every word I say
Because that will mean a lot to me.
Listen to me please
When my turn is over
I promise you,
All I'll do, is listen to you.

This poem is very close to my heart because even though I listen and respect everyone around me I feel that, sometimes, very few do the same to me. Do any of you feel the same way?
