Sailing In The Ocean.

28 9 2

Sailing in the ocean, alone
listening to the mistpouffer, all by my own.

Sprinkles falling on my face,
heart beats, rhythm of the air.

My eyes wander,
in search of a stranger.

But the endsville ocean,
fills the heart chamber.

Drifting to the fictitious world; as a mockingbird,
Singing songs, flying stiff.

High, and high I fly,
drop off in an instant cry.

The water gains height,
and I shrink down to slice.

The scream of my voice,
echo's to the water outside.

None come to my rescue,
for I am alone tonight.

What a surprise!
A bark comes floating by my side.

The bark saves my life, and
I heave a breath of sigh.

After reading a lot of poems from my school book, I felt the need to write one too! I wrote this poem last year, after reading 'A Photograph - Shirley Toulson'.
