I stare blankly at the off white false ceiling in my room. Different waves of emotions silently hitting me. I felt lost.. Tired... Numb. But mostly lost. It's been a week, a bloody week since we last spoke.

Did he forget me?

Maybe he's busy?

What if he's purposely ignoring me...

No no maybe he's just busy.

These questions kept running through my mind. I needed to know what was going on.

Why isn't my own boyfriend here when I need him the most?

With a new-found determination, I get off my bed, grab my purse along with my phone and walk out.

I need answers.

••

I look into the mirror, assessing my not so good current appearance but end up shrugging anyways because let's just agree on this, simple is beautiful.

Especially when it comes to me.

Snickering to myself, I press the elevator button.

Daniel, aka my boyfriend lives on the 7th floor in this really posh building. Explains, since he's one rich asshole.

But he's my asshole. (Not literally, please.)

The metal doors of the elevator slowly open up and I step in, pressing the button with the number 7 embossed on it and impatiently tapped my feet.

A ridiculously annoying tune played in the background, probably the elevator's but it was annoying enough to hit me with anxiety.

Why isn't he answering my calls or messages?

The elevator stops at the 7th floor and opens up, and I scurry out, walking towards the flat at the end of the corridor.

I could hear loud music playing, the more I walked towards his flat, the more loud the music got.

So you can listen to music but not reply to me?

I mentally snort at my thoughts and take out the spare keys he had given me.

Inserting the keys, I quietly opened the door and yelled, "Surp-" too bad the words died in my throat as I took in the scene infront of me.

A half naked Daniel lay on the couch with two females flanking his sides, running their hands all over his body.

Daniel grunts and grabs one of the girls inappropriately, but then decides to kiss the other. When he turned his head, his eyes finally caught me standing there.

His eyes widened, I gave him a lopsided smile.

He tried getting up but I raised a hand,

"No. Don't. It's alright I understand, honestly. I guess it wasn't you, you were amazing to me. Guess I lacked something in me that made you take such a drastic step, yeah? It's alright. I'm sorry I wasn't a good-" my voice cracked, "-girlfriend."

And with another watery smile, I slowly walk out.

I could hear him hurriedly dressing up and yelling for me to wait.

But as usual and any brokenheart would do, I decided to leave.
