Annalise
"Hi welcome to Trudy's Bakery," I called out while rushing out to the front of the store.
I was encountered by a very buff man who looked to be in his early twenties. His intriguing ocean blue eyes clashed perfectly with his sun kissed skin. He had light caramel hair that had been lightly tousled the a side part. I was too busy ogling at his handsomeness when I almost didn't hear him clear his throat loudly.
"Welcome to Trudy's, what would you like today?" I asked him meekly. In all honestly, I was a little ashamed and embarrassed of myself for the small stunt that I pulled. I felt my cheeks flush red as I kept thinking about it. For a slight moment, I thought I heard him chuckle.
"Can I have two red velvet cupcakes with black coffee on the side please?" He asked with his swoon worthy voice. His eyes had drawn me in like a moth to a flame and his smooth voice was way above attractive.
I nodded shyly and packed his order into a to go box and marked up his order onto the cash register.
"The total will be ten dollars and sixty-seven cents," I shyly informed the very attractive guy.
We exchanged items- his money for my cupcakes. After he left, I still felt my heart racing and my cheeks had remaining redness to them. It was the routine for two weeks. He would normally walked into our cupcake store and specifically requested for two red velvet cupcakes each morning with a black coffee to go with it. He had never ordered more or less. It was always the same. We had even made conversation during his daily pickups. I've learned that his name was Dominic, he has been to this cupcake shop even before I was working here and that he has lived in Miami all of his life. It was all about this little things we conversed about that made me so intriguing to learn more about him.
It was an early Tuesday morning. The time was around eight in the morning, usually the time Dominic would come for his daily order. In routine, his box of cupcakes and his steaming black coffee was sitting there and waiting for him. Hours had passed and he still hadn't come to claim his food and coffee.
When the clock struck five in the afternoon, I had started to prepare for closing in the day. My boss, Trudy, had given her keys to the store in my hand which left me the responsibility of closing her store for today. I was in the front, packing away the extra food that didn't sell away when I heard the front door of the store chime. My head immediately jumped up, curious to see who would walk in three minutes before closing.
Dominic stood there, with glistening sweat beading across his head. It was obvious that he had been working out before he came but I questioned to myself why he didn't pick up his coffee and cupcakes earlier.
"Hey Annalise," Dominic greeted to me with a warm smile. He walked up to the register and waited for his things while pulling out his money from his wallet. He didn't even have to ask what I wanted since I already knew.
"Hi Dominic, where were you this morning? I had your coffee waiting for you," I teased him with an easy smile.
He chuckled lightly at my small joke. "I had some business to take care of but I hope it's not too late to get everything," he enlightened me with his schedule. He placed ten dollars and sixty-seven cents onto the counter as I prepared his usual order. We exchanged items with light smiles also.
He cleared his throat and all of sudden started to turn red in the face. "I was wondering if you were available tomorrow at six after your shift is over. We could go ice skating and then eat ice cream afterwards," he sheepishly asked with a nervous tone.
I didn't know what to say. My mouth had been struggling to find words to say. The extremely hot guy is asking me, the cupcake salesgirl out?
"Is this a date Dominic?" I asked nervously while trying to main my composure.
"We could call it that," he reassured to me while taking his items. "I'll pick you up at six then."
Before I could tell him my home address, he had bolted out through the front doors. I didn't have his number to text him so how was he going to pick me up. I hugged to myself, frustrated, and snatched the money from the counter to insert into the register when a small piece of paper emerged from the small pile of currency.
It read Dominic's number and for me to call him after work today.
I cheered like a thirteen year old girl would for tickets to a One Direction concert.

"No way," Monica squealed to me with excitement. "I'm happy for you babe. Now we have to prep you for your date with him," my best friend reassured to me as she stuffed the remaining chocolate chip cookie into her mouth.
I munched on my remaining sour cream potato chip while channel surfing through terrible shows. "I haven't been on a date in forever. What if I screw it up? He seems really cool and I wanna get to know him more. I don't want to ruin it Mon," I pleaded to her, seeking for any advice she could give me. I gave up trying to find a decent show to watch when I pressed the off button on my television.
"Hey I was watching The Vampire Diaries Anna. I was about to find out if Damon loves Elena," Monica pouted while trying to grab the remote from my solid hold. I sent her a stern and seriously concerned look which ended up making her dig for advice for me. "Okay fine I'll help you. Now, even if you do something dumb, it's okay. Just be yourself and stay calm," she advised to me.
"He even gave me his number on a piece of paper," I informed while handing Monica the same piece Dominic gave me with his change.
"Have you texted him yet?" she asked with interest to me. When I shook my head, Monica threw me an appalled expression. "You have to text him!" she exclaimed excitedly while shaking my shoulders.
"Okay okay maybe I will," I chuckled while blushing brightly. I pulled out my phone and started typing nervously to Dominic. Monica was looming over my shoulder while I contemplated on what to say to him. After coming to a decision, I sent him a simple "hey".
He instantly responded back by calling me. For a couple seconds, I was puzzled on what to do until Monica had to shake me back to life and answer to phone for me.
"Hey," I unattractively croaked to the speaker. Monica silently laughed at my discomfort as I quietly face palmed to myself.
"Hey," he responded back with his casual smooth voice. Monica left my apartment with her trademark wink and left the two of us to private.
We both had continued to talk until midnight about random topics. I went to slumber with my last thought being of Dominic.
How was it?
