Chapter 18

"Have a safe flight." Millie hugged me.

Braden was standing behind her with a rather worried face.

Millie noticed that my attention was somewhere else and she looked behind.

"Looks like loverboy wants to have a private convo." She whispered to me.I smiled at her as she excused herself out of the scene.

I walked towards Braden. He still looked like the 16 year old boy I hated with all my guts. The same face I had seen coming back with exhausted after Sunday soccer games.

I reminisced days where Braden was just my neighbour. Now,this pretty face is my husband.

I was nearing him and his expression still was the same.
"If you dont want me to go, you can cancel this whole trip?" I asked.
Braden just shook his head and smiled.

"I will miss you a lot, Ally." He admitted.

"I will too." I looked at him expecting a kiss.

"Arent you supposed to be boarding the plane soon?" Braden asked.

Ok. I get it.. dont expect too much.

"Uhh.. yeah." I looked around the airport. A mother was weeping as she sent off her son.

"What.. you want me to cry like that as well?" Braden asked me,focusing on the lady.

"Maybe." I smirked at him.

" You must be crazy." He laughed.

Millie came back from Starbucks, I guessed, looking at the hot Starbucks cup she had.

She forced the cup onto Braden's hand and grinned at me.

"This is for the endless nights Braden is going to spend without you."

"2 nights, to be exact." I added.

"You better look like you havent eaten for 5 weeks, when I returned" I mocked him.

Braden just brushed off my comments and looked at his watch. "You are going to be late,Ally. Jason will be waiting for you inside."

Millie shifted her gaze onto me ,the moment she heard Jase's name.

I looked at her and just raised my eyebrows.

"Alright. Im leaving. Send me pics from your convocation. And dont miss me too much." I threw a hug on Braden which caught him off guard.

But he hugged me back.

He didnt seem too happy sending me off.

I waved bye to Millie and started walking into the departure hall.

"Ally." I heard Braden's voice and turned to see him just 3 steps away from me.

"Braden, you cant enter in here. You dont have a boarding pass." I joked.

But Braden didnt seem to laugh.

"Stay safe alright." He said as his finger entwined with mine for the last time.

"I will. Its just 3 days." I assured him.

With that, I waved goodbye to Braden and Millie.

I entered the plane within a few minutes and met my "travel partner" AKA Jase.

"Hi babe!!" He greeted so loud that the passengers infront of us turned to see me in such an awe.

"Just shut up." I muttered.

I had a long flight with this jerk and I am regretting agreeing to this trip.

I felt someone touch my hand. A familiar touch. Of course it had to be the fool of a man beside me.
