Ryan's words kept echoing in his mind.
Knowing that Olivia was hurting so badly - even though she didn't show it - was enough to make knots form in Lip's stomach. Although he couldn't quite determine exactly why he was feeling this way about Olivia, he knew his feelings for her were genuine.

"You need to tell her," Fiona's voice snapped Lip out of the trance he'd been in while finishing his homework.
His head shot up and looked at his sister. "What?"
"Tell Olivia how you feel,"
Lip shook his head. "I don't know what you're talking about,"
Fiona smirked. "Cut the shit, Lip. You have feelings for her,"
Lip scoffed. "How could I already have feelings for someone I just met?" He questioned.
"Love works in mysterious ways,"
"Oh, don't go all philosophical on me," Lip groaned.
Fiona chuckled. "Seriously, though. Ian told me Lance Cooper is moving in on Liv. You better act fast unless you want to lose any chance you've got,"
Lip slammed his textbook shut and stood up from the barstool. "Damn it, Fiona! Just drop it!"
With that, he turned and stomped out the back door. Fiona just smirked to herself.

A loud pounding sounded on Olivia's front door a few hours later. She opened the door in her pajamas with her hair braided and her glasses perched on her nose, only to find a drunk Lip Gallagher standing in front of her.
"Lip? What are you doing here?"
She glanced around outside before pulling him inside.
"Don't go out with Lance," Lip said once Olivia had shut the front door.
"What the hell? What are you talking about, Lip?"
She grabbed his hand and pulled him back to her bedroom. Lip smiled dopily at their entwined hands.
"Don't go out with Lance," He repeated.
"I wasn't planning on it," Olivia responded, laughing as Lip stumbled over to her bed before collapsing.
