Higher Than Heaven

Chapter 5

For the next few days, the buzz going around on social media was Lana Young's debut on Smackdown Live in Denver.

The WWE Universe didn't know what to think of the new girl on the main roster. Some thought she was awesome & deserved a title shot while others saw her as a disrespectful bitch who had gone too far.

When SDLive rolled into CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho, everyone just hoped that things would go smoothly.

However, they didn't.

Dean kicked things off with the Ambrose Asylum & was finally able to have Kristie as his guest after multiple interruptions.

As soon as she was in the ring & had a mic in her hand, she & him began flirting up a storm. The crowd was loving every minute of it. Fans went crazy on social media.

That is until Lana Young's entrance music hit.

She came out wearing a green crop top-style t-shirt that showed off her toned abs with skinny jeans & combat boots.

She was clearly not impressed.

"What a boring show," she said with an exasperated look on her face. "Isn't the Ambrose Asylum supposed to be wild & unpredictable? I mean, what the hell is this?"

Kristie just rolled her eyes. Dean shook his head.

"This is supposed to be a crazy show, not a pukefest," said Lana who was now in the ring.

"What do you know about pukefests, Lana?" asked Kristie. "Is that what happened to your hair?"

The crowd roared with laughter while Lana's face turned bright red.

"You want to play that game, huh?" she growled. "Well, let me tell you something, you little tramp. I will be Smackdown women's champion, & that sexy man right there will be mine." She gave Dean a wink.

Dean then quickly got himself out of the ring because he had a feeling that something crazy was about to happen.

He turned out to be right.

Kristie threw the mic down, kicked Lana in the gut, & got her with the Dirty Deeds. She then got out of the ring & walked away with Dean's arm wrapped around her waist. (A/N: watch the video below to see how Kristie beat up Lana)

Once backstage, the two embraced.

"Is she fucking crazy, Jon?" she asked. He just nodded.

"She's fucking obsessed!! She seriously thinks that she's going to get a title shot against me," said Kristie. Dean was about to say something when someone else came up to them.

"Well, right now, she's not going to get one because the Royal Rumble is coming up in two weeks," said Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan who happened to have overheard the conversation.

"I know, DB. I know," said Kristie. Daniel looked at her right in the eyes.

"You also have to defend the title against Charlotte. If you can do that, then Lana will get her title shot against you," said Daniel.

Dean was bothered by that.

"What does Shane have to say about it?" he asked. Daniel just sighed.

"He's not happy about it, but he feels that the decision should be left to your fiancée here, Dean," said Daniel.

Kristie was in shock.

"Me?" she asked. Daniel nodded.

"Yeah. You. Ball's in your court, Kristie. Lana has, in a way, issued the challenge. It's up to you if you want to respond or not, but you have a contract signing to do tonight with Charlotte so don't stress out over this too much," said Daniel.

After he left, Kristie started to freak out.

"I can't fucking believe this," said Kristie. "I know, babe, I know," said Dean who then took her in his arms & held her tight.

While they held each other, the couple were unaware that Lana was watching them from a distance. She was seething.

"Just you wait, Vanetti," she muttered to herself. "He will be mine."

Twenty minutes later, Kristie was back in the ring, this time for her contract signing with Charlotte. Shane McMahon was there to oversee the signing.

Everything went smoothly on that one. Both women insulted each other, signed the contract, & tried to beat each other up. Kristie got the upper hand on Charlotte by slamming her into a chair. She then walked off with the title belt on her shoulder.

As she walked backstage, she began to feel anxious. She had no idea why she was feeling that way.

She got her answer as soon as she turned the corner.
