Couples might say that they enjoy Valentine's Day or New Year's Eve the most. I think I enjoy today the most. What's there to today, you ask? Well, so far, it's been a quiet day, a peaceful day– to some, a boring day. Those same people would most likely be reading this now and thinking, "How low are this person's standards?"
But, you know, the fancy presents, the big bouquets, the chocolates in heart-shaped boxes– they don't matter. Because, in the end, when all the pretty decorations have been stripped off our relationship, it's only he and I. And I'm reminded of that the most when I'm sitting beside him on the couch, watching crappy TV and falling asleep in his arms because it makes me happy that we can even do that. While other people out there are fighting for their love, we can just sit here and rub each other's feet without a care in the world. It's like the world's given us its freaking blessing.
