Caleb POV

I slouched on my bed, trying to bury out Stacy's whiny face interfering my peaceful state every few seconds. God, that girl could talk for England, France and Germany, but she was hot and that was most important to me. Even if she was a bit protective over me, I didn't mind this attention.

'God, that girl has the right to do that to you?' She scoffed in anger, repeating her words for the upteenth time. I rolled her eyes, regretting telling her as she made sure to mention this event all day.

'I know, the bitch needs to be taught a lesson.' I said, remembering how sarcastic and rude she was to me in Science. That girl needed to be put on a leash, no girl had ever spoken to me like that before. Not even Blair Holden, the girl who I had bullied since second grade. She showed me a higher level of respect than this newbie.

'Don't worry, that's what the party's for.' She laughed, remembering our little scheme. For now, Lucy probably thought luck brought her an invitation. If she was clever enough, she'd realise I wouldn't invite just anyone to my party.

I rolled over to my side and kissed Stacy, savouring the taste of her lips against mine. Her eyes glittered slyly, the charm which had caught my heart a few months ago. It wasn't just touch and go with her, like every other girl I had been with. My playboy streak hadn't gone as I was still subject to one night stands on a night where I had drunk too much alcohol. Stacy never seemed to care as I always came back to her.

-

I called my best mate Michael. 'Did you give her the card?' I asked tensely. Michael wasn't a good liar and he could easily blow up this whole plan, but I trusted him nonetheless. he agreed, causing my mood to highten as everything was turning out dandy.

My parents were out of town tonight, leaving this mansion to myself. Instead of making out with Stacy, I preferred a party, because why the hell not? I ordered some guys to bring the beer kegs into the living room and the some of the girls put out appetizers in bowls.

Stacy had gone home to get ready for the party. It beat me why girls never showed up to parties in normal attire, but went out their way to throw on a dress. Not that I'm complaining as Stacy did clean up well. I looked at the time, noticing that there was an hour to go before the party actually started. Michael was coming over in a bit to help with the preparations. I wasn't one to partake in setting things up - too much work for me.

A big sigh escaped me when I realised I was still wearing the shirt that Lucy had accidentally split her latte on. I went to my closet, changing into a black V-neck before throwing the shirt into the wash. If only he could throw the retched girl in there too.

Lucy POV

I was finally ready, the help of Kira turning me into someone more appealing to look at. It's all just makeup, my inner concious sneered. I shrugged the negative thoughts away from my head, I needed to become a different person just for tonight. And that's what I was doing.

Kira decided to drive us to Caleb's house. If I thought my house was big, then I was in for a surprise when I saw the size of his house. It was at least three times larger than mine, residing in a more affluent part of the city.

'What does his family even do for a living?' I said in awe as I looked at the endless cars parked outside his house, going on for miles. Surely, word must have spread about his party as Kira had earlier commented that some of these people didn't even go to their college.

'His father is the CEO of Thorne Energy. It provides most of the power in the city, he gets a fair chunk of the money they get.' She said, clearly having done her research about this family.

We both walked up the long driveway to his house. The oak brown door had been left open, inviting them in. I stood outside for a moment, nervous about what the night's events had in store for me. Anything could happen.

As I entered, I noticed dozens of people standing around holding red cups. I doubt Caleb would be serving punch in his drinks, clearly it was alcohol. Some people looked at me in confusion, being the new girl meant that I was an outsider in their terrority. I ignored the looks and went further into the crowd. I noticed the guy who gave me the card sitting alone, staring at his phone and sipping from the red cup. He looked up when he saw me in view and gave me half-hearted smile.

'I'd love to know the name of the guy who knocked on my door.' I said once I was closer to him. He seemed surprised that I even spoke to him. Although he wasn't on Caleb's level of beauty, he was still attractive, sporting thick brown girls and green eyes.

'It's Michael and I know your Lucy.' He smiled, his voice friendly. Some of the people here were really nice, shame the same can't be said about Caleb and his side chick. Me and Michael spoke some more before he excused himself, leaving me sitting alone as Kira had wandered off somewhere.

Where was Caleb and Stacy?  I thought as the endless sea of faces did not resemble the two assholes. The words escaped her mind as she saw them both descending down the stairs. Stacy was clad in a red minidress barely containing her assets as Caleb's hand was locked tightly around her waist.

I managed to escape their stares until I looked away, seeing from the corner of their eyes that they were coming towards me. I looked up to see Stacy smirking as she bent down to my level.

'Have fun' She whispered, lips close to my ear. 'Because this is going to be a night to remember.'
