The doors finally opened and it was time to go in. I could feel the nerves racking up inside me, I hadn't seen them in nearly an entire year, it almost felt like I didn't know who they were anymore.

Eventually I was walking inside the venue which was full with hundreds and hundreds of fans, I couldn't get anywhere near the barrier it wasn't possible, I ended up at the back on the side where Michael would be but I pushed myself through until I was about ten rows from the barrier, I couldn't stay so far back, I didn't come all this way for that.

I fiddled with my fingers as I waited for them to come on stage, there was so supporting act at this show which was weird but I assumed that meant that they would be on longer.

The lights went off and the stage light up, lights flashing around the stage as music started to get louder. Ashton came out first coming to the front of stage a wide grin on his face as he waved before going over and sitting behind is drum set. Luke, Michael and Calum all came onto the stage at the same time going straight into their positions.

They went straight into a song that I hadn't heard before, I moved along to the music, I couldn't help the rush of happiness and proudness that was flushing through me just seeing them perform.

As the song came to a close the screaming got louder, I wasn't used to this at all whenever I had seen them before they got cheers but never to this extreme.

"Hello, we're 5 seconds of summer and are you ready to party tonight?" Luke shouted.

The crowd roared back and I couldn't help the grin spread across my face, confidence radiated off of them all as they began to banter with each other and communicate with the crowd. My former bestfriends broke into their next song which was a cover of Teenage Dream, the crowd went crazy again and I pulled out my phone to record this moment. Usually I hated it when people recorded the whole way through a gig because what if it was your only chance to ever see them and you were just standing there having no fun because all you could remember was watching it through the small phone or camera screen but it wasn't my first time seeing them, I had seen them enough times to deal with it.

"Are you having a good time London?" Ashton screamed from behind the drums.

The crowd started yelling in response before Calum began to speak.

"The next song we're about to play is from our EP Somewhere New and it's called Beside You, me and Luke wrote this song and it holds a lot of meaning behind it so we hope you enjoy!" Calum said as he began to strum at his bass.

Memories began to flood back to me as they began singing, the first time they ever showed me the song was in private, it had made me so emotional that I couldn't help the tears that hurrily flowed down my cheeks.

"So me and Calum wrote a song for the EP the other day, we all wanna show you it." Luke said.

The confusion was probably evident on my face, they had only told me the previous week that they didn't want me to hear any of the songs from the EP until they had recorded them in the studio and when they were actually ready so the fact that they wanted me to hear this right now was a bit strange.

"Okay? Let's hear it." I said softly as I tucked my legs up underneath me.

"Before we start we just want to say that this song is for you, well you inspired us all, even though me and Michael didn't write on this song it still means a lot to us too. You're our bestfriend Lily, you've been here right from the start and you mean so much to all of us so no matter what happens with the band, no matter how big we become, that might not even happen but what I mean is no matter what we will always be with you. We will never forget you. That's a promise." Ashton said.
