Mitch's POV

I dug my hand into my pocket and pulled out my house keys. As I brought them out, they dropped out of my hand. I picked them up and put them in the lock. But to my surprise, the door was unlocked. I furrowed my brow in confusion as I pushed the door open.

"Avi?" I called out as I locked the door behind me. I took off my coat and put it up on the coat rack. "Avi?" I called out again. I went into the living room and he wasn't there. I went to the kitchen and he wasn't there.

I went outside to the garden he wasn't there. My anxiety began to increase. I could feel my heart pang in my chest as a bad feeling entered my head. There was one place I hadn't checked. The bedroom.

I went up the stairs, slowly. I crept down the hallway. Every single door in that hallway was completely shut. Except for the bedroom. It was slightly ajar. I could see light coming from the room. As I got closer, I heard something I never wanted to hear.

"You like that, baby?" I heard my husband growl at whoever was in the room. I felt so sick that my stomach began to cramp up.

"Yes, daddy. Do it again." A voice I didn't recognise moaned loudly. I could feel a stinging in my eyes as a tear fell down my cheek. The sound of slapping skin made me feel gross.

"Oh, baby, you're going to make daddy come," He moaned. I felt a fire in my core rise. I was enraged and I was tired of listening. The door slammed open as I pushed open with full force. My face was wet with my tears. Red with my anger. Breathing was heavy and my heart was sunken with pain.

The both of them halted their actions. Their faces were plastered with guilt. Avi's a lot more present. "Mitch, I-"

"Get out," I instructed. The both of them looked at each other, confused at who I was talking to. "You," I pointed to the random male. He started moving off the bed quickly, gathering his things. Avi watched as he did so. His eyes darted back and forth between me and the guy. He sat there silently, waiting for something to happen.

The guy began leaving the room. "I'll call you?"

"Get the fuck out," I shouted causing the both of them to flinch. I followed him down the steps. I threw him out of my house and slammed the door shut.

I stormed up the steps, back into the room. The tears still fell down my face. I grabbed a suitcase and kneeled down to the level his clothes were at. I began stuffing his clothes into it. "Mitch, stop," He tried stopping me with his words but that only made my movements more frantic and fast.

He got down behind me and tried to restrain me my arms. I fought him off, for only a second. He was stronger than me. Much much stronger than me. He grabbed a hold of my arms.

"Let go of me," I growled angrily but he didn't let go. "Please," I begged as my tears began to fall again My breathing began to become erratic. I began sobbing hard. "How could you?"

"Honey, I-"

I brought my hand up to his face. "Look at this ring," I pointed to it. "Does it mean nothing to you?"

"It means a lot to me, that's why I married you."

"So why cheat? Why bring him here? Why do this to me?" I questioned him. My mind was all over the place. My emotions were up and down the scale of pure anger. "Why Avi?"

"I-I don't know."

"No, you do know. Tell me now." My anger began to re-arise. Avi couldn't say a word."If you aren't going to answer, let go of me." I felt his grip loosen from around me and my heart began to shatter. I held a t-shirt to my face and sobbed into it. I looked back at him. "Am I not good enough for you?" My insecurity began to override my words. I was hurting a lot."Am I unappealing?"

"You've been distant." He responded with a statement I believe wasn't true. "You know how much I need contact."

"You could've said something."

"When?" He sounded irritated. He had no right to be irritated. "You're never here. When you're home, I'm asleep. When I wake up and go to sleep, you're never there. What am I supposed to do, Mitch?"

"That's no excuse to cheat on me," I overpowered his irritation with my anger. "We could've talked. You could've called me. You know I'd pick my phone in a heartbeat," I could see his face change. He knew I was right. "Did you even consider calling me?" He stayed quiet. "You didn't want to make this work did you?" He looked down. "Answer me," I shouted.

He said nothing. Absolutely nothing. I felt my bottom lip quiver as the need to cry returned. He stared back at me and I knew his heart was heavy. "I'm going to Scott's house." I looked away from him and turned around "Call me if you need me," I sniffled. "But it's not like you care." I walked out of the room and headed slowly down the stairs.

I went into my car and put the key in the ignition but I didn't go anywhere. I put my head on the steering wheel and cried hysterically. My heart and my lungs were so empty and heavy. I knew I'd lost him. He wasn't the man I married. But it was all my fault.
