"Mitch, hurry up" My father shouted. "We're going to be late to the Kaplan's, again"
"I'm coming" I said whilst walking down the steps. Today was Christmas and we were going the Kaplan household to celebrate. The Kaplans were great friends with my family and every year we either went to them or they came to us. We have been doing this for 10 years. This year we were going to them. "Why do we always have to go to their house?" I complained.
"I know you want to see the Kaplan's boy" My mother said. I blushed at her statement. The Kaplan's had 3 kids. Joshua, Esther and Avi. Avi was so hot. He had amazing green eyes that sparkled. Brown flowing hair. He was just. Amazing. That's why I hated going. I was in love with him. I'd lose my cool around him and I think he'd notice and because him and I were similar ages, we'd spend time together. Well we have no other choice.
It was an hours drive to get to the Kaplan's home. They lived in a fairly large house that had such a calm and comforting vibe, which reflected their personalities. They are a group of calm and comforting individuals that really know how to make people feel at home.
We had finally arrived at their house and we were greeted by Mrs Kaplan. "Hi, Mrs Kaplan, Merry Christmas" I hugged her.
"Mitch,I've always told you, call me Shelly" She said in a warm tone.
"Ok, Shelly" I giggled. She laughed.
"You can go to Avi's room. Dinner isn't quite ready yet" She informed me.
I walked further into the house and Mr Kaplan was sitting at the kitchen table. "Mitch!" He stood up. "Merry Christmas" He hugged me.
"Merry Christmas, Mr Kaplan" I responded.
I walked over to the living room and saw Esther and Joshua sitting together. "Hey Esther and Joshua Merry Christmas" I greeted.
"Merry Christmas, Mitch" They said in unison.
I walked up the stairs, till I reached Avi's room. I knocked on it. "Come in" I heard Avi's voice through the door.
I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. Avi was sitting on his bed on his phone. He looked up at the door, noticing my presence. His face lit up once he saw me. He basically jumped off his bed and enveloped me into a hug. "Hi, Mitch"
"H-Hi, Avi" There goes my cool. He kissed my cheek causing me to blush intensely. That was new.
"Merry Christmas!" He said positively.
"Merry Christmas to you too" I shyly replied.
We both sat on his bed. Like always do. And we both just went on our phones.
"Mitch, I need....I need to tell you something" He said 10 minutes later.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Well....I'm just going to come right out with it. I'm in love with you" My eyes widened in shock. "Every time I spend Christmas with you, I fall in love more and more with you" I began to blush "You're like a Christmas gift but I don't only want to see you on Christmas, I want to see you as much as I can" I began smiling like an idiot. "Mitch will you be my boyfriend?"
I gave him a kiss to answer his question. "Of course I will" He then kissed me back. His kiss was full of passion and happiness.
"I've always loved you too" I couldn't believe that I was in a relationship with my crush.
"BOYS!" Avi's Mother shouted from the kitchen. "Dinner is ready"
"Should we tell everyone?" I asked him.
"I don't know" He replied.
The both of us rushed down the stairs into the kitchen and sat at the table, next to each other.
The food was amazing. The people were amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and my boyfriend was too.
As we walked back to Avi's room, we walked under the mistletoe. Our families chanted "KISS KISS" I smirked at Avi and gave him an innocent kiss. Many "Awws" were heard after that.
"Its time we tell them" I whispered.
"Mom. Dad. Nel. Mike. Esther and Joshua. Mitch and I are in a relationship" Everyone's faces lit up with pure joy as the surrounded us and hugged us.
"Congratulations to the both of you" My mom smiled at us. "Merry Christmas"
"Merry Christmas" Avi and I said in unison.
