Misericordias are a siren-like dragon
Pronounced Miss-sir-ruh-cord-dee-uh
*•*Basic Facts*•*
•Misericordias live in any body of water; oceans, rivers, ponds
•Misericordias have beautiful voices, used for competition, breeding, echolocation, etc.
•Misericordias have flippers as feet and legs and a large frill on their back and chest to tummy. Their tail looks similar to a mermaid's. An illuminate line goes down their entire body, from the back of the eyes to it's tail. They have four ears, two on each side
•Misericordias live in two kingdoms, Salt-Waters who live in oceans, and Fresh-Waters who live in ponds/rivers
•Fresh-Water know dry land better, since it surrounds their river/pond

Misericordias can live up to 200 years, their years are the same length as a human's
0-11 months - eggs (infant)
1-16 years - minnows (kid)
17-38 years - tunins (tween-teens)
39-73 years - sarkes (young adult)
74-100 years - manta (adult)
101-135 years - marlino (older adult)
136-176 years - canath (elder)
177-200 years - pearled (ancient)
*•*Powers/Abilities/Looks*•*
Sea and Fresh Waters have different powers and abilities and looks.
Sea-Waters: •Glowing stripes line on their back •can spray out water •Sharper night vision •frills are big and more elegantly colored •soft regal colors •few have classical/opera voices, but most don't
Fresh-Water: •glow spots are more in shapes than stripes •can spray out water •can see well in murky water •frills are small but colored brightly •bright colors •sorta hip hop, techno, rock, jazzy voices, pretty much free verse vocals

*•*Salt-Water Kingdom*•*
Salt-Water Misericordias have royal families, ruled by an empress and emperor. The empress has more power than the emperor. Kings and queens rule the different layers of the ocean, the empress has control over the whole ocean. And yes there are princes and stuff
<~Gaining the Throne~>
Gaining the Salt-Water throne means battling and killing the current heir. The Misericordias use their powerful voices in battle, and choose their own armor hand-made by a blacksmith of their choice. Being chosen to make armor for a royal is a huge honor and will be greatly respected.
*•*Fresh-Water Kingdom*•* Fresh-Water Misericordias don't have empresses, but just kings and queens. The kings and queens do not need royal blood, it's more like a title. The kings and queens don't rule a single pond, instead a large territory. Kings and queens have equal powers and are not different kingdoms, more like one kingdom spread across the continent.
<~Gaining the Throne~>
To gain the Fresh-Water throne, an heir has to come up with a song made by themselves and perform to everyone. The Misericordias will vote for the best song and whoever wins the most vote wins the throne
*•*Mating/Breeding*•* Males try to catch the attention of females by showing off their frills, scales, and voices. The shinier, brighter, smoother voice a Misericordia has, the better chance he has at getting a mate. Once a female is interested, she shows off herself, mostly her voice.
