Chapter 10

3 days later,

" We have a prom night coming up in 2 days, who is planning on attending? " The teacher asked. I kept my hand down because I didn't felt like going. The last time I went, I embarrassed myself after I got drunk from drinking too much alcohol. And this year, I don't have anyone to go with since all my girl friends have moved out, I don't want to end up with a boy too unless it's... Jihoon!

" Noona! Aren't you going?" Justin asked looking sad and confused, " I'm not sure " I said. He pouted cutely and put his hand down too. " If you're not going, I'm not too " He told me.

The whole class turned to our direction and I just smiled at them. " Is there something wrong guys?" The teacher questioned. " No, I'm sorry " I answered.

After the say ended, I grab my bag and walked out the classroom but someone grab my wrist, I turned around and it was Jihoon.

" Oh! Jihoon ah " I said. He looked at me in the eye and then I broke the awkwardness, " Do you have something to say?" I asked.

" Do you want to grab a cup of coffee with me? My father opened a cafe near by and he told me to take a friend " He said. Did he just ask me to go with him? Ahhhhhhh!!!!! My poor heart. " Okay, let's go " I agreed.

I suddenly got a call from Samuel,

Y: Hello
S: Yoo Jung ah, are you free?
Y: Why?
S: I want to take you somewhere
Y: Where?
S: It's a surprise
Y: When do you want to meet me?
S: In 20 minutes near the park
Y: Okay
S: See you later

" Who was it? " Jihoon questioned. I looked at him, " It was my dad " I lied.

We walked to the coffee shop and I quickly ordered before I have to meet Samuel. Jihoon and I sat down near the window and drank our coffees.

I drank really quicky and he kept staring at me, " Drink slowly " He said. I just looked at him and smiled, " It just taste so good that I can't stop drinking it " I told him.

I looked at my phone and 19 minutes have passed, I'll be late if I don't go now. " Jihoon ah, I'm sorry but I have to go somewhere right now, let's meet up longer some other time " I excused myself.

I made my way out of the cafe and ran to the park, I looked around to find Samuel. " Yoo Jung " Someone called. I turn around and Samuel was there. " Did you run? You should've just walked, I could wait no matter how long you'll take " He hand me a tissue to wipe my sweat.

" Where are we going?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled, " Somewhere you'll love ", his smile still melts my heart but I have to wake up now.

He lead me to his car and we both got in, " Do you remember this car? It use to be my dad who was driving for us but now it's me " He reminded me..

" I remember, we use to sit in the back "   I said. " We're here " He stopped the engine. I looked outside and saw a tree house. " This was the treehouse we built together 2 years ago " He said back.

We went out the car and climbed inside the treehouse where I could find lots of food and beverages, " Are you hungry?" He questioned. I nodded my head and took a bite from the blueberry muffin, " Did you bake this yourself?"
I was amazed with the addicting taste.

" Yeah, I'm glad you like it " He smiled happily. We both sat down and continue to eat.

7pm,

" It's already 7, time went by so fast " He looked at his watch.

" I better go home, my dad will be waiting " I told him. He got up and we went outside together, " I'll drop you off at home " He insisted.

He drove me until the front of my house gate, " Thanks for the ride and the meal " I said. He suddenly put his hand on my hair, " Don't move " He said. I froze.

He suddenly looked down into my eyes, " I'm sorry, there was something in your hair " He said while still staring in my eyes.

We froze in that position for anfew seconds until he slowly tilt his head a little and placed his soft lips on mine. I miss this feeling so much, it's so hard to hate him.

When I got back my senses, I quickly pushed him away.

" What are you doing?" I asked. I opened the door and quickly walked away from his car.

Before I opened the gate, I saw someone staring at me like he was going to kill me,

" Jihoon? " I said shocked. He rolled his eyes at me, " You still like him? " He questioned not even looking at my face.

" Who?... oh, you saw? " I asked. He still looks away, " Don't misunderstand, I have no hard feelings for him, now he is just a friend " I explained.

" That's hard to believe, kissing is not for friends " He told me before running away. " Jihoon! " I called but he didn't even want to look back.

I went to my bedroom and drop my body on the bed, " He must have came to tell me something but I blew it off " I told myself. I felt so hopeless but then I remembered the kiss again, it felt so great to feel loved again but my crush saw it. What should I do when I meet him tomorrow ?!?

My phone vibrated and it was a text from Samuel,

Samuel: I'm sorry for doing that, I hope you forgive me and I had fun today thanks to you :)

I wanted to call Jihoon but didn't know how to because I was so scared he will hate me.

The next day,

I went to school with Justin, we walked inside the classroom and took our seats.

" Did Jihoon come? " Seungwoo walked up to our table. " I saw him walking near the gym " Justin replied.

The minute I heard his name, I felt like running away but just as I want to the teacher came in. Jihoon came in from the back door and sat down in his spot.

" Where were you?" Justin whispered to him. " I was putting something in the gym office " He said. While he was talking to Justin, he didn't once turn m direction or even greet me like usual.

I walked home and saw a familiar figure near the gate,

" Are you Choi Yoo Jung? Choi Shin Dong's daughter? " A lady asked. " Who are you? Are you looking for my dad?" I asked back.

" I'm his work partner, my name is Kim Jihyun " She introduce herself. My dad came out and was shocked to see us.

" Jihyun ah, why did you come?" My dad walked out. She looked at him in shock, " I wanted to take you out for dinner " She said. I looked at them in confused, why would a work partner come to their house?

" Yoo Jung ah, go wash up and I'll be home before 8pm " My dad told me. " Go do some studies while we're on a date " She added.

I stood there after I heard that, " Date? " I questioned. " You didn't tell her yet? We're getting married next month " She aaid proudly.

Instead of replying to them, I ran upstairs to my bedroom and started crying. I never thought my dad would forget about my mom like that and marry another women, a selfish women.

I changed my cloths and ran out the house when I bumped into Justin who was about to ring my house bell.
